Complete the chapter 4 quest line before beating this boss. It will give you a needle vessel and when he activates the stage where everything goes yellow, use it. This will take him out of that stage entirely and put him into an easier stage so you can defeat him. But, the quest line has 2 has some pretty hard bosses so goodluck.

The simplest fix you can make is saving your cloud steps for when you actually NEED them and using your POM spell when his health is critical. Also, use pills while in cloud step before you strike. Edit: I just checked your build and you are actively nerfing yourself. You’re not getting a single perk from your armor load-out.

Watched this stream live and this man refused to get the needle(which I got mad respect for lol), but he couldve beaten this boss loooong ago if he had the needle. Also, the last several tries he wouldve got him if he didnt use Cloudstep for no reason and then used up his mana so he couldnt call in his clones. I only use Cloudstep to get out of sticky situations(like a crazy attack that is hard to dodge...etc).

He could definitely fight a lot smarter. Even if he didn’t want to get the needle, he’s not using any pills, pluck of many is not a good use of mana with this type of boss, and he’s not getting the full benefits of that scorpion attack cause Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master is immune to poison.

I had some issues as well with that boss...until I got that needle. Also, just a suggestion...farm for sparks and mind cores to level up your stats with Xu Dog. It may help you with the more difficult bosses.

Hey Lenarr. I know you've heard this until you're probably sick of it, but you need the needle. If not for use against this boss then to complete the secret area and ultimately fight the secret final boss. Go find Purple Cloud Mountain.

I beat the guy without the needle, for the second phase you just have to be on the defensive until he does the mechanic where he raises the ground then drops it(you either save your cloud step for that or you time it right ) you have a 0.5second window to dodge as soon as he raises the ground. Remember last phase just be on the defensive until he does that raising of the ground mechanic, as soon as u get past that mechanic thats the time to go on the offensive o and id recommend using the headbutt spirit. Good luck & never quit💪💯

Use spell binder bro and DONT USE HEAVIES!! or if you're going to use spells like Cloud Step get behind him before hitting him with unveiling strike if you did that at the end you would of beat him with a light spam leading into its finisher. YOU GOT THIS BRO!!

You should get the needle vassel weapon first it takes him out of his second phase you have to wait until he goes in his second phase tho to get the vassel weapon you have to beat the boss in the secret area of chapter 4

lenarr if you want to make this fight more easier get the golden needle its a quest that you have to do but you do have to defeat a boss to get it. And also only use the golden needle in his second phase if you do that it will kinda cancel him out of his second phase so that way you can see better.

I feel you, Im stuck on erlang. This boss took me a few tries. As others have told you , you need the weavers needle. In my playthrough I never fought the scorpion. Good luck I am in the same struggle.

Defeat venom daoist first(you have to defeat him twice) then you will have an access to a secret location. In that secret location defeat duskveil boss and you will get weavers needle. Use the needle to stop this asshole for his 2nd phase.

Yeah… this is the same thing that happened to me, I didn’t get the needle cause I wanted to beat him without it. But I was able to beat him still hardest boss in the game, for me at least, also the worst too. 😂 Just keep trying.

This same thing happened to me except his health was at 1hp. You couldnt even see the bar anymore. I had to just laugh.....I did quit for the day tho. The needle vessel comes in clutch in this fight. My only problem is I pop it early by mistake because I run while using spells...I wish I could change the button combo for the vessel.
