She can't post more often. She doesn't play with her hair that much..for like weeks at a time. And she has school to worry about.

Gurrrlllll....I am soooo in agreement with you regarding this cutting your hair evenly all around. My hair is uneven....I have multiple textures and multiple lengths throughout my hair. I am just beyond BSL after 4years with a goal of MBL. So yes 14-16 inches left versus right side ....but my nape is 7 inches. It does it's thing ....it's so slow. So prone to breakage. To get to MBL I need to retain 5 more inches....so I am trying the three month challenge repeatedly for the next year. Wishing us all length retention

The back of my hair grows the longest n has the looser texture while the middle of my hair is the tightest texture and is the shortest.

I thought it was just me I notice that since my hair has gotten longer I notice that my curls have stretched but the front part of my head the curls are a little loose so its easier for me to detangle vs the rest of my head..if that makes sense ☺️
@Serraphina2 жыл бұрын
yes, its because they're more heavy

I have similar hair growth. The front grows faster as well and has less texture than the rest of my hair

I don’t know why I want to thank you for talking about split ends. Hairstylists really be scaring you to keep cutting your hair for your hair to grow. I did that and my hair wouldn’t grow pass my bra and split ends just kept forming no matter what I did, how many times I trimmed, no matter how many deep conditioning and low manipulation I did, split ends are inevitable when it comes to curly hair. I stopped trimming my ends so much and started doing it only twice a year and my hair grew rapidly.

Nice length retention.💜 Yes, it is normal for hair to grow at different rates in different parts of the head, and also have slightly different textures in different areas as well. I didn't participate in the challenge, but I usually check length retention once a year at the end of December.

The crown of my head grows the slowest and it is always dry. It sucks because it’s right in the middle of my head. The back of my hair grows fastest and it looks like I have a mullet. Does anyone else experience this? I also would want to see your salon visit.
@sweetiekie67992 жыл бұрын
Yes, I experience this. The crown and sides barely grow

You know you don't care about the length of your hair when you take down the top braid and not the one under it. Lol! The other youtubers be making sure they do the one lowest anyone else notice that??? Not Natural Academia she be doing it BIG!! Why everybody else here is playing she growing inches for real.

I want to see that thing you want to do to your hair that you're afraid of mentioning. Don't be afraid to do what you like to your hair. I understand people can be culty in the hair community but we shouldn't care what others say like that. We have freedom and should strive for innovation. =)

If it is not broke don't fix it. The salon people have their clientele. I think you will be hassled to do things to your hair that will sabatoge all your hard work. I don't recall the platform but a woman with longer hair than yours had a salon visit & they basically straightened her hair. Remember they need a head to promote their services. If you go, do your research, find one that specializes in natural hair with the credentials and natural hair testimonials. I like to see you in beads, maybe you should try some brown or beige tones.
