3rd oldest national park in wisconsin. I've been there a lot of times for hiking, but i always feel that Lake has a dragon. If you climb up towards devils door and look back at the lake its green and light blue color to it.

I’ve lived in WI for 20 years and Devil’s Lake is one of the many national parks we go to every year. Never encountered anything paranormal. We usually go to the south shore and the water (beach area only) is very shallow. Although we have heard of many accidents that lead to death there, we never came across anything odd.

Thank you for uploading videos for us to listen! I really enjoy your videos, even the old ones that you’ve done. I always listen to them again when it plays. I know you said you don’t want to just talk about fishing stories but I think those are my faves. Thank you again! And keep it up!

No wonder when I look at my stats, I always see people still listening to my stories from way back. Sometimes I wonder if I should re-do those stories for better sound quality.

I’ve been to Devils Lake once, but never experienced anything paranormal. The cliffs are steep and you could fall if you’re not careful. There’s been many accidents and deaths.

The Native American story about Devils Lake, there was a battle between a giant serpent and a Thunder Bird. This kind of sounds like dragons vs thunder in the Hmong stories.

Xob is the thunder God in hmong mythos. It's believed to be a winged animal. My guess is a bird/phoenix

@@nightowl7261 Native American has alot of similar creatures to the Asian culture. Their water panther might be another version of dragons. Also they got a similar creature to the flying heads.

We go hiking at devils lake 2-3 times/summer. It’s a beautiful park with good hiking trails. It’s a very busy park. We’ve not experienced anything weird however we’ve heard a couple of distant family members say they are not to ever go there. They were told to “caiv” from devils lake. My cousin’s husband is a shaman. He tells my husband that devils lake is the dragon (zaj) metropolis of the Midwest.

Devil's Lake was first discovered and mostly visited by local Native Ho-Chunk Tribes. Ho-Chunk tribes refer to the lake as Tewakącąk which translates to Sacred/Spirit Lake. While Nakota Sioux call the lake something close to Mystery/Bad Spirit Lake. One of the richest man in that century (Europe) bought the lake. Devil's Lake was so named because it is situated in a deep chasm with no visible inlet or outlet. I do hiked few times in Devils Lake. Nothing suspicious. Mostly just hikers.

Been to Devils Lake before, I haven't experienced anything paranorma. BUT Devils Lake's website does have ghostly encounters that people have experienced, and looks like a lot of ghost hunters go to the old inn across the railroad track.

Regarding Devils’s Lake and how it got it’s name, the Ho-Chonk Indians used call the lake “sacred lake” or “spirit lake”. Later when the white people used to fish and trap fish there they started calling lake “Devils Lake” just because the Indians call it a sacred lake. The name seemed to appeal tourists so the names was stuck. Then later people started to report they seen monsters or ghosts etc. who knows whether there are devils or nit. i climbed the rails and the lake is beautiful. Accidents happens and some people can be careless as the hiking trails are steeps and can be very crowded in the summer times.

There is nothing beautiful about Devils Lake. There's been lots of deaths there on the trails and in the water. I have heard there is a dragon in that lake. When we take our kids we go to the shallow beaches and we watch them like hawks.
