I did hear that the girls has the right to return back to her parents house if she choose to stay or not. That was a common thing back in the days unless her parents are just b*itches LOL because in ban vinai, there was this wife who ran back to her parents house when she got nqug (zib) after three days. Ever since that day, the family stay close attention to the new bride and guard her so it won't happen to them and sadly it was my aunt who got nqug to their family and all of her sister-in-law guarded her and tag along with her where ever she goes LOL. My aunt didn't want to marry my uncle that time and was mean to them LOL. She was very mean to the point where she choose to sleep on the ground than on the bed LOL. My mom told me the story when we were driving to her house in madison and she told she was helping my aunt washing her clothes on the fourth or fifth day of being nqug and she asked my aunt "why are your taibnplog so dirty with dirt and sands" LOL....All of this happen in ban vinai and the story is so funny...see tseem ua thaj ntawd kuam tau ntsejmuag LOL!
