I wish it was that. It was a prime example of revisionism in culture. The composition, but especially the lyrics. No mention of the enemy, just vague notions of truth and goodness without concrete steps and mention of the revolutionary subject.

Those songs were motiviational, uplifting as well and were, most importantly, generating revolutionary spirit. But they were clear in who the fighting force is, that it‘s a struggle of class vs. class, that there are concrete enemies that need to be fought: bankers, industrial capitalists, political and military forces. The music and lyrics reflected the revolutionary spirit. Even Capitalist parasites could sing this song, just because you throw the name Lenin into things doesn’t make it revolutionary (even though Lenin was without a doubt one of the greatest revolutionaries of human history).
