Transport him to a different time period and Paul McCartney could've been our Bach or Beethoven. This is an incredible arrangement and a stupefyingly gorgeous performance. You've kept the architecture and mood of the original perfectly, and I don't even know how difficult it must have been to bring the massive sonic landscape of Eleanor Rigby to life with just two hands and one instrument... and yet the quiet bleak pathos is still there, not overwhelmed by the louder dramatic parts, and you don't rush your way through. Beautifully, beautifully done.

He just broke down the parts and worked out how to arrange them on guitar. This is likely how McCartney went about writing it in the first place. He probably had the parts worked out on piano first.
