PRINCE was a spiritual person... when you walk in faith, you know that you're not here to stay, you're just passing through. when you're in the spotlight like that, people tend to forget you're just flesh and blood. PRINCE didn't forget that. everyone days are numbered. journey well PRINCE! him with his creative genius made this world a better place, and he left a lasting legacy that will live on until the end of time. JOB WELL DONE 👏 RIP

"DID U TAKE, OR DID U GIVE?" A wise man beyond his years in so many ways. He blessed us with such gifts it kinda blows my mind. I'm sad he's passed on, but that's all on me to work through - because deep down I know he's happy to have finally entered The Garden, and we should take comfort in that, his artistic integrity that will influence generations of musicians and the legacy he has left behind. What a wonderful life.

Bowie and Prince - the influences are so clear once he owns them - like all greats they all stole and gave and 'got' from other greats - the genius aspects that blow us all away - especially those truly 'complete musicians' who not only played everything but literally excelled at every aspect of their performance art. Modern music certainly today a multi sensory experience - with sound firmly at the center but, as especially Pink Floyd first proved beyond any doubt, all the senses matter! These guys knew it and took it upon themselves to write, stage and produce - then put together and lead a live performance band they made sure 'got it and could get it on' like they did who they sang, danced and played with in an often perfect 'lost in the moment originality' that could get lost in the spirit but never lost the essence of the song or why that crowd was there and was theirs - they reliably played music so good, so seriously hot - and when they were really on, look out. Whew. Right up there with the best things in life! So thankful for that kind of pure genius showmanship - from Prince, Lenny, David Gilmour, McCartney, Stevie Wonder - so so so many others. Thanks to video my appreciation of Prince has increased infinitely just in the past week. Truly one of the most interesting men in the world - always.

Prince is by far one of my biggest influences in music right now. Growing up, I just saw him as this sort of..."goofy" guy with a very apparent feminine touch yet, he was indeed a Lady's man. The man wearing "Stelleto's" okay...nah, but for whatever reason, the guy was straight-edge and really down-to-earth. I guess you can say it was his faith that toned down the "risque" behavior and image. Even so, that's what made me sort of do a double-take on him as a musician and really study his persona as a musician and individual and he's helped me to write better songs and be the artist I am today as well. I'm not famous, probably never will be, but he started a fire in me and helped me realize that you can be dedicated to your faith and still get up there on that stage and really give it everything you got just as he always has but do so on a much more clean slate. He's definitely my number 1 influence.
