Back in the 80s I did security at Joe Louis arena in Detroit. In 88, I believe, when Prince did "The Lovesexy", I got a chance to see him up close back stage. His security wouldn't let ANYONE get close enough to touch him but I was able to let him know how much of a fan I was. I hollered to him that "Still Waiting" was my favorite song. We were called The Pit Crew because we protected the front of the stage so crazy fans would have to get through us to get to the stage. Before the show started Prince would come out and practice on ALL the instruments. The man was a GENIUS. While practicing the keyboards Prince played the beginning of "Still Waiting". I don't know if he heard me but it was THE coolest night.

People in this comment section are being annoying and rude but what’s new 🙄 She clearly says in this interview that he wasn’t hitting on her and didn’t act inappropriately towards her-she says this several times in fact, yet people would still rather believe their TMZ-esque version of events. It sounded like he just wanted to hang out. He didn’t suddenly get in contact with her once she was 18; he happened to see her at a club and decided to say hi. That’s it. He didn’t try to kiss her or make inappropriate comments towards her or even ask her out. All he did was attend her show and hang out with her a bit as a friend at an after party but people want to make him out to be some kind of skeezy person. It’s obvious she treasures this memory, probably more so since he’s passed away, and it clearly bothered her that Jimmy was trying to insinuate something sordid with his comments but at least it gave her the opportunity to make it clear that he wasn’t interested in her like that nor did he act that way towards her. But apparently, that doesn’t mean much to some of the people here 😒

Right. Zoe didn't have to worship the man. She acknowledged him, encouraged him to pursue the woman he showed interest in. He was an entertainer and friend to her dad. Both of her parents are in show biz and she's a model. People like Prince are not unfamiliar to her and no need to bow down to him. She showed respect. She was an 18 year old trying to enjoy her evening and it didn't have to include a 50 yr old family friend. For that matter she could have invited her parents! Don't find it appropriate that the "host" was being sleezy by suggesting prince might have had something other than friendship/concern, etc on his mind.
