@12:25 Left to right to take pins out so the grooves in the trigger pin, that runs through the slide lock, only catch on the slide stop lever’s spring once on the way out, and once on the way in. Do it the other way and you’re doubling the wear on the pin and spring.

Doesnt matter in the least. But it is easier to not fight the spring twice

My Gen 4 G26 came with a . Dot Connector & installed a factory - Minus & it did drop the pull by about a 1/2lb

The gen.4 has been coming with the “dot” connector for years now.
@gadsdenjim87856 жыл бұрын
Keith Gemmill Yeah I know right. I've had dot connectors for years in My guns. It's not NEW at all. It was originally made to go with the Gen 4 trigger bar and housing because it was too heavy with the standard. They had to make that to make the Gen 4 pull at the spec 5.5lb. But with Gen 3 it's a 5lb connector.

When we tested all available .40 S&W duty pistols at Aberdeen Proving Ground in 1995 all three (or four - can’t remember) duribility test Glock 22’s self destructed between 6,000 and 8,000 rounds. Subsequently Glock added the Locking Block Pin for all models. I am surpriased that the locking lock pin is not on the Generation V. Perhaps Glock found another way to strengthen the action without the locking block pin.

The dot connector was designed due to the new/different angle of the trigger housing. In order to make a smaller grip (by 2mm) with interchangeable backstraps on gen 5/4, they had to make the trigger housing smaller and change the angel of the connector. Compare a gen 3 and gen 4 trigger housing and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
@imtherealjoeyd6 жыл бұрын
The gen 5 triggers are slightly lighter though. That is true. This is due to the new design of how the trigger mechanism works. A standard connector in gen 3 should have same pull as dot connector in gen 4. And sweet trigger is a dot connector in a gen 3.

Maybe for state requirements, like NY ? I believe Mass. won't allow Glock sales at all due to their requirements on trigger pull weights.
@SwampOperator Жыл бұрын
New york had a pull weight requirement and i think its damn 10.lbs Not sure exactly butni bought an "ny compliant" m&p one time that had a real heavy trigger. And when i replaced it all there were some trigger parts that were advertised as ny compliant
