This was a really useful and well-made video for teaching the use of OBS for webcam source zooming management. probably there may be a way to have a wevam zoom profile so that this can be selected when we want start OBS for using virtual camera and not other OBS usage reasons

Is there a significant difference in audio quality as compared to Logitech c310? Also if the distance between me and my laptop is less than one feet then which one between the Logitech c310 and lenovo 300 would be able to capture my whole face within the frame?

Hi Manav, If the camera is going to be very close to you then the wide angle lens on the Lenovo is good to capture your entire face and either of the mic will give good quality audio since you are less than 1 feet away from it.

I have recently purchased this webcam as a secondary webcam for my mac since it will assist my extended display set up. What i have noticed is the brighness for this web cam is very low unlike what i see in the review videos, even in broad day light or even if the room is lightened sufficiently. You're a life saver! I had a question, though it might sound a bit stupid. Do these settings get saved in the third-party software? Or do I have to set up the specific zoom settings every time that I'm on a video call?

Thank you Tanya. Glad to know the video helped. OBS studio will save these settings and you will not need to crop or resize the video feed every time. You just need to make sure that OBS studio is running in the background with the virtual camera turned on! Thanks for watching.

Hi there, Yes, the Lenovo provides good video quality in well lit environments and since its wide angle it can cover good space. An external microphone is recommended if you are going to be far away from the camera.

If you are using google chrome try to restart chrome or open it after enabling the OBS virtual camera. I have tried on edge and it works okay. Please let me know if this helps

Hi Nang, It all depends on the resolution selected for the camera relative to the resolution of the Canvas. In my example the canvas resolution is 720P but the camera output is 1080P squeezed into the canvas and hence the image will be sharp. However if you us a 1080p canvas as well and crop the video and enlarge it, then the quality will go down.

Hi Manav. In this case we are using OBS Studio to just replicate the video feed and hence there is no encoding or rendering that is being done. Hence the load on the CPU or GPU is insignificant. This should not slow down your PC unless you have a really old one 🙂
