@@Darolix.Benchmarks well unfortunately im still using the nvision 🤣🤣, still rocking, altho theres a small screen tear showing up now after i accidentally hit it with a mug, but its fine tho, size of a coin nothing to worry about, for the lenovo monitor, i dont know i havent bought it yet still, but my brother in law has it and its fcking really good you can clearly see the diff in color, motion, and vibrant

is the display true 8 bit or 6 bit + frc ? And could you please confirm a thing. Do you see any color banding in settings window on the windows gaussian blur effect ? (they called it transparency effect ) And what would be the best monitor settings to get the most of out display's colors on general usage ? And I am also facing issues with its display control center app. Even when it runs in background the brightness shortcut doesn't work. I have to open the app atleast once to make it work and it stops working again when I restart the pc. Is there some way to fix it ? I am using the latest version of that app.

I am using a vga display PC so I bouhght a vgatohdmi converter. It worked on my old asus monitor but it won't on this new one. The display was on and then it turned off and on again. Not sure why but when I use the monitor as a second screen for my laptop, it works perfectly fine.

They actually don't disclose it. The G25 I know states 1ms, for this one I'm not really sure. I assume its fast enough but yes, its hard to find official numbers on it.

wait how is it only 250 nits? did you check your settings before you did the test cause its advertised as 350 nits and another reviewer claimed it was slightly brighter than his 400 nit monitor, i dont know who to trust now great.

thanks for reminding, i revisited this after to confirm and i believe there was a setting that limited max brightness. i can confirm it does go up to around 400 nits

pretty much the same, i prefer the lenovo because of the stand but depending on how good support is in your area. This sample is now defective but still 1 year more in the warranty and they will replace it.

Almost anything with Freesync will be Gsync Compatible but true Gsync is reserved for super high end. If you're into budget monitors check out ASUS VG and Lenovo G25 models.

Hi, I'd like to ask: Does this monitor support LFC? I will be using this monitor on my old pc which can only go up to 60hz and I was wondering if I'll have no trouble doing so.

Freesync should be able to make at least 40FPS look smooth but anything lower, I am not really sure it has tech for that besdies besides freesync if I'm understanding you correctly. You should be able to run this at 100Hz+ on HDMI if you have a 5 year old system but if you meant something on VGA, that I am not certain.

@@sokoman8261 i can't guarantee you can get 144hz+ on HDMI, but any HDMI2.0 graphics card should be able to work with that. I think the VG240Y is the same panel as this one, so it should also be Freesync but specs says the brightness is 100nits lower on the Acer so I'd still go with the Lenovo.

Hi, I've just purchased this monitor and I'm using with a PS5 but in the monitor settings I seem to be stuck at 60hz? I'm pretty sure I'm using the HDMI that was supplied with the ps5 too. Any ideas on what to change to sort this or is this model not compatible with PS5?

I actually am not sure if this will work with 120hz on PS5. I know the PS5 will support 120hz on HDMI2.0 on some 1080p monitor but I have not seen it in person. I still have this monitor, I will check to see with my PS5 over the weekend. For now, I'm really not sure sorry

Yes, but modern games on a 1050ti will not run at 165hz at 1080p but its fine.

Your monitor will stay at 100hz when you till it to, your FPS on the other hand is a different matter but I can't imagine the flickering you're trying to describe. Can you describe it more in detail?

That would depend on how stable your desk would be. If you have a light desk that rattles when typing, as this is a light monitor, there may be some wobbling but your table has to be really light or unbalanced for that to happen. It is quite stable as the base is wide.

@@Andrew-kv3xh that's actually the reverse of the results you should get. disabling HDR in windows will be the normal colors and enabling it will make a lot of the colors grey. you can try resetting the monitor settings just to be sure no OSD setting is messing anythjing up

I am confused in between 1080p or 1440p monitor .. 1080p will give more fps but 1440p will give best visuals. what if i set my game resolution to 1080p on a 1440p monitor . will it be blur ?

1080p is the common resolution for Monitors, 1440p is equivalent to 2K monitors and 4K is 2160. 1080p Monitors, gives the best FPS because the hardware don't rely much on the quality of the game. If you go for 1440p (2K) or 2160 (4K) Monitors, you get the best quality but you won't get high frame rates. If your sole purpose is to get good quality on games get a 1440p or higher monitor. But if you want to go for that Competitive FPS feels go for 1080p monitors. But do remember that higher resolution monitors are more expensive than 1080p Monitor.
