I got the IdeaPad 3 and my mom got the IdeaPad 5 in October 2 months before me. Hers is definitely better build quality but for plastic the 3 pretty good. We both have core i5 11th gen, 12gb ram, 256 gb storage. She has a smaller 14" screen but with the tablet hinge. The only reason I'd prefer the 3 over 5 is price even on sale mine was 450 and hers open box was 600 or 650 usd. Only reason I'd go to the 5 is if it had thunderbolt. Also I don't think you can charge the IdeaPad 3 through the USB type C.

Can you PLEASE do a video on Lenovo laptops that DO have a good display/sRGB rating and also budget laptops with good sRGB rating? I have been trying to find a laptop for about a year but all reviews (not just yours) keep talking about those with bad displays and never budget laptops with GOOD displays. Something with an i7 and good display. Please help!

Correction for some reason the 14alc05 IdeaPad 5 with 14 inches has a 1.4 rated HDMi port that is actually a 2.0 that can power a 4k 60 panel.

Btw can you suggest an affordable laptop with in 1100-1200 USD with awesome single core performance, good battery life(preferably near the evo platform) and backlit keyboard? I don't really care about other features as long as it has 8 gb ram and upgradeable ssd.

My lenovo IdeaPad l3-15ITL6 lags randomly The issue comes when I'm using my browser and a WhatsApp notification will slow down the whole laptop for 4-8 seconds or a tab reload will slow it down to the point that if you were watching a KZbin video, it would stutter slowing down frame by frame and I have noticed that during all this, GPU is peaking and CPU also peaks. It does not depend on the total load of the system because I have seen it happen even on 2-3 tabs open. I have tried updating BIOS and also deleting GPU drivers and installing from lenovo support. I have also tried video playback option to be optimize video instead of optimize battery but nothing seems to have solved the issue. I am using windows 11.

Idk dude supposedly the chips for in nvidia r gonna have issues for a bit like till December but that’s the one I’d get b4 I got this news …also look at the benchmarks on i5 and i7 for the best deal. Check out the mhz speeds. And then see if the graphics card is oki…. I got the idea pad 5 14 in 1235u i5 10 core 12 thread at 3.3 GHz to 4.5 I believe which is great and the graphics card isn’t soldered but the ram is, ssd is upgradable from 512 only reason I went and got it is it was 430$ in excellent condition . Steal. Yoga laptops are slept on. But I ended up grabbing this one with a 12 gen i5 few weeks passed and it went up to 770 for a used … and now outa stock

My Ideapad 5-15ITL05 Laptop - Type 82FG broke already! Three months! Sound driver not to be found. Tech went in remotely and tried several times to fix it. IT WAS PAIRED TO an IPHONE, but not mine because it didn't come up in my bluetooth. We couldn't get it to keep the iPhone off, even though we unintalled it When we did that no sound at all in device mgr. If I shut it down, turn it back on and turn bluetooth on...it still says paired with iPhone. I name my iPhone, it should say LInda's iPhone, but noooooo. REALTEK is JUNK! I had to turn my hp in for sound not working, three months ago after two weeks of having it and bought the lenovo. I don't know if I will go back to it. WTH is up with the junkie stuff from REALTEK???? Weird. I got it at costco.

@@Haloitzchris I figured it out, it was a bad connection with vpn photon, for some reason it froze basically everything on the computer, it was mad mad mad frustrating. I think I deleted it and reinstalled it and it's working ok now. Although still sometimes it lock up, but I can deal with it. The moments before a problem is figured is beyond frustrating, I didn't know what to do.
