I've got to do a keyboard replacement on my V330-14ikb that I brought off ebay the other day. The seller forgot to inform me that the keyboard layout wasn't UK, but instead its some half english/ half squiggly rubbish hah. So my question is; after picking the plastic rivets that hold the back facia of the keyboard and removing both facia and keyboard to install the new one, did you just melt what was left of the rivets once everything was back in place? Or did you get the scraps from the rivets and use them like "plastic solder"? xD That's what is putting me off at the minute from actually going ahead and doing the keyboard swap out. Its not my first time pulling the laptop apart since i installed a new stick of ram, also had to put in a new NVMe and a spare 2tb SSD i had laying around since the original HDD was trashed. (to be fair that isn't the only thing that is trashed on the laptop. The base part of the cover is cracked in multiple places and is missing the stand offs for the mounting screws)
