Today I’ll tell you about the experience of using my own Legion 7. The range of work tasks is quite wide. This includes basic retouching in Adobe Photoshop, and advertising layouts in Adobe Illustrator, and layout of multi-page projects in Adobe InDesign. To this, you can add work on the KZbin channel. That is, writing scripts, recording and processing sound, basic color correction and final editing of videos. Accordingly, Adobe Audition and Premiere Pro. This year, interface design training in Figma has been added. Well, Cyberpunk 2077 as an opportunity to escape from worries. In sum, it turns out to be a rather heavy set that requires both powerful hardware and a high-quality screen. At the same time, I want sane dimensions, weight, and not for all the money in the world.
The Legions turned out to be the most adequate for the price in my city. Specifically, models 5 Pro and 7. I did not consider the five, since in the older models the screen calibration from the factory bribed. Well, the best cooling system. 5 Pro and Seven turned out to be almost the same price. So, I chose the Seven without any hesitation.
I'm warning you right now. This is not a standard overview listing all the features. Here are practical points in real use. And if I suddenly forgot something and didn’t mention it, ask in the comments.
😊 Thank you for watching. Don't forget to like and subscribe.

Thanks so much for the video.. so hard to get any info on people that have ACTUALLY used these lol.. do you think the Legion 7 would run Unreal Engine 5..? And any thoughts on AMD vs Intel? Would appreciate any tips at all.. 🙏

About UE 5… Yes. But maybe not at ultra, maximum settings. Let’s wait for the first titles. About AMD vs Intel. Depends which software do you use. You can watch videos with comparison tests like at Jarrod’sTech channel.

You can choose some special models for creators. But they are usually more expensive. Some of them are in my video about MacBook Pro 16 alternatives.

I really love to say day to day use instead of benchmarks. Regarding of the screen, I have a legion 5 and I can't seem to get a decent color profile. Are there any lenovo apps to help with the color profile?
@techbearbro
@techbearbro 2 жыл бұрын
You can try to find your laptop review at Notebookcheck. They usually make calibration and publish their profile in review. Or use calibration devices.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but do you also get a warning sign when you plug your 100W USB-C charger? It looks like a triangle with an exclamation mark inside, and appears on the battery indicator. I just got this charging block and was wondering whether this is normal, as it's a slow charger for this laptop.
@techbearbro
@techbearbro Жыл бұрын
Yes, 100W chargers are slow for this kind of laptops. Use only at minimal load or when the laptop is sleeping. Cause laptop needs much more power for normal or full load.
@sofiamr
@sofiamr Жыл бұрын
@@techbearbro, thanks for replying. So, you do get that warning sign (kinda like this ⚠️) every time you use this charger? Just trying to confirm that's normal and doesn't mean my battery could suffer any damage from using it.
@Sachrial1
@Sachrial1 Жыл бұрын
@@sofiamr It is a standard windows warning that you might use the wrong charger. You normally won't suffer any damage. It only warns you that the watt input is lower than what is expected (300W for this device). That means your device is charging slowly. But damage is extremly unlikely. However: According to Jarrod's Tech (he made an indeep review of the legion 7), if you use a 100W charger and put the device under heavy load, the 2021 version (in this video) could slowly discharge and then charge again, whenever workload goes from low to high and low again. This happens because it needs more than 100W (around 125W max in quit mode) and therefore uses up battery capacity to compensate, which is bad for your battery life. Every time it charges and discharges is like a charge cycle for the used battery cells. That means no damage but certainly some wear on the battery. Use the 300W charger if possible to avoid this.
@sofiamr

@@Sachrial1, thank you for this thorough explanation! I'll look up Jarrod's video as well.

I've got a question, there's a computer I'm buying that looks exactky like that except the grills on the side light up, do people just turn that odd or is that an entirely separate model? Cause the thing is, I'm finding others that HAVE the lights, but the leigion text has full rgb but the one I'm getting only has the logo lighting up
@techbearbro
@techbearbro Жыл бұрын
Lenovo Legion 7 (2021) has a lot of RGB. If you have this model, you can try to turn on backlight by "Fn + Spacebar"
@Sachrial1
@Sachrial1 Жыл бұрын
As addition to TechBear Bros answer: You probably bought the legion slim 7 version. This version has less RGBs around the case and vents as far as I know. There are four different versions or names for legion 7 models I know of: - Legion 7i (i for intel) - Legion 7 (amd version) - Legion slim 7i - Legion slim 7 But no guarantees if that are all legion 7 versions or names used. Whatever model you bought, it is probably a very good device ;)
