Great video, just bought this laptop (16IRH8, model: M2CN26WW) and i have never upgraded laptop/pc before and i got few questions. im wondering if is worth to upgrade 16 to 32 gb ram? I m going to start working with more consuming apps (like Blender, that was bearly able to run on my previous laptop lol) so i guess it is, but will it be felt hard? Also heard it can be upgraded to 64(?), but 32 seems fine for next few years, also its over half cheaper that 2x32gb. Extra SSD seems natural choice since 500gb wont be enough i think- so additional 1tb should be fine, eveen though i saw people add 2tb in one slot too. Also would these parts work with this laptop?: SSD: Disc SSD Crucial T500 PCle Gen4 NVMe 2280 M.2 1TB (Producent Code: CT1000T500SSD8) RAM: Memory RAM Crucial CT2K16G56C46S5 32GB DDR5 5600MHz SODIMM (Producent Code: CT2K16G56C46S5)

Congratulations on your new laptop. According to Lenovo, the max ram allowed is 32gb so I don’t try to exceed it. With 32gb of ram, I’ve noticed that games runs smoother, and it boots up faster. You can 1tb of ram storage on each of the ssd slots and I don’t try to exceed what the manufacturer recommends even though you can try but in some cases there can be possible risk. The ssd and ram you asked about for this laptop is ideal for it. Enjoy.

That’s just a cheap old heatsink to protect the ram.
@wotnetworkgamer285911 ай бұрын
For the faster DDR5 RAM, the metal plate can act as a ground shield, which helps reduce interference that can cause errors especially when the ram is running at such high speeds. This is more common with solar on RAM which allows it to run much faster than its regular counterpart. Like DDR4 VS LPDDR4X

Kingston Impact Fury rams are good but very costly. The GSkill Ripjaws rams are pretty good and affordable too. I would with the GSkill ram. They have great speed. Secondly; Mixing RAM modules with different clock speeds in a laptop can potentially cause compatibility issues and performance problems. When you mix RAM modules with different clock speeds, the system will typically run at the speed of the slowest module. Additionally, it may lead to instability and crashes. It's generally recommended to use RAM modules with the same speed and specifications to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
