I would be more comfortable with an lcd if you need it on for so long, burn in is a REAL issue with amoled and im tored of people pretending its not. The only reason the always on thing started with amoleds was because of the small battery consumption, the screen will fall appart faster than lcd

Yeah dont try using any OLED display for long lasting images. I got screen burn in on my oneplus 7 pro from the status bar and a huge block from my occasional reading.

This is because you're tablet is on a global Rom, you'll need to flash back to the Chinese Rom if you want L1 and OTA updates. Check XDA forums for instructions on how to flash it back.

I've got a 1TB SD card in mine! I was surprised how much I liked the keyboard, it's think but solid, definitely better than the Samsung keyboard. This tablet has replaced my windows laptop. The way I worked & needs changed. Battery life on I've change is really good. The back cover is great, the magnet is really really strong so there's no slipping. The screen is really good to me it doesn't matter what type it is. 6gb RAM, yeah it's enough & I'm not a light user.

Even last year model for pad pro have pixel density of 260+ ppi. what you are referring to is the pentile display issue where text aren't as sharp as other competitor. For watching videos, you wont see any different.

Great video, considering Chris was making this video on the fly. Chris has done a great job to review the tablet's limited support with streaming services and its great gaming performance. I clicked the link at the descriptions, Giztop is showing the Pad Pro 2021 at $495. However, the last time I checked Sammy Tab S7 (11 inch) was selling at $530 at Amazon. (If memory serves me well...) Knowing the S870 chip is more or less a rebadge of S865, I find the grey market import lacks any appeal to those who have access to Galaxy Tab S7 at a reasonable price. The lost of DEX mode feature alone makes it hard to justify the tiny price difference. And the tricky Netflix/Amazon/Disney+ support situation simply puts me off too. Thank you Chris for the speedy coverage, you answered my puzzles in mind for the last few days when I was researching this tablet.

@techtablets : I've just recently purchased, Everything about it is good ,EXCEPT THE SCREEN . The OLED panel has some major issue with dark grey in a dimly lit room. Somehow it shows the ugly side of the panel a lot especially when you use it in complete dark room and brightness set to super low, place some dark grey background and see the screen quality. Was not expecting such issues from an OLED 😢 A lot of users complaining the same thing.

can you confirm you have no GPS too? a seller is telling me it has. model number TB-J716F? also can you see if the grey is still there if you turn off something called anti-flicker mode, I had the same issue on a phone but when i turned it off the blacks were black again.

@@dualfever no anti flicker option, no GPS. Overall its a nice tablet but the screen will be ugyl when you watch content with dark grey background in a dark room. Blacks are black, colours are vibrant even on natural. Overall only weakness is dark grey or grey colour will show it like old tech Oled screens.

I ended up ordering the tab s6 (non-lite) as I wanted the GPS as it too has an oled, although it was used $250.

Everything about it is good, nice screen if seen on bright daylight and normal use, BUT i have to point out, with tablets, you will use it anywhere and often mix places of dark or light thus if you can get a super super low price for this tablet model comparing to other comparable tablets, yeah sure go ahead. The OLED display is nice in normal use, only dark places. I suspect it is using OLD OLED panels hardware. Everything else is good. Speaker, built quality, feel, PC MODE option, fast performance ....etc. IF GMS (google mobile service)is not an issue for you, consider huawei matepad 11, In malaysia it is almost same price with the keyboard and pen. Xiaomi Pad 5 pro is another comparable model to consider with slightly stronger speaker and display not an issue since it is IPS. ONLY NO VIDEO OUT which is a bummer if you intend to use it to cast or cable video out to your TV or monitor for bigger setup.

Similar screen. But I can tell you the Tab S7+ is better the S7 screen is a bit sharper being IPS but you miss out on the deep blacks
