It's often said that the iPad is the best tablet on the market, but IMO it all depends on your perspective. I'm normally an Android user and TBH the only thing I like about my iPad Mini 6 is the performance. There are so many HUGE limitations on iOS compared to Android. There are still plenty of apps on iPad that only work in a vertical orientation as well. Unless you enjoy iOS the iPad is typically more trouble than it's worth. The only reason I even have one is because the small Android tablet segment has been all but ignored for almost 5 years. Most of the small Android tablets have the same performance as a Lenovo tablet I purchased in 2017. There are only 2 exceptions: Huawei MediaPad M6 / M6 Turbo 8.4 (2019) and Lenovo Legion Y700 (2022). The Lenovo was released around 5 months after I bought my iPad Mini. The Huawei device leaves quite a bit of uncertainty regarding Google Play and updates. The iPad Mini will continue to get updates for a long while, but the updates are so incremental that it's hard to consider that a big plus for me personally. I'll be impressed when they make an update that allows for web browsers to use their own engines instead of just being skins of Safari.

I agree with you 100% I bought my first iOS device the iPhone se one year after it came out and honestly I liked my Samsung s7 edge better. Same foot print as the se but maybe thinner has a headphone jack a bigger screen and the screen is way better higher pixel density and is super amolled it looks nice. Plus there’s so much more things I can do on it that i can’t on iOS. And there’s apps on android that I like way better than iOS apps. iOS is so limiting even the iPhone finger print scanner suck for me half the time it don’t work. I agree with you about what you say about android market being behind too kind of. Remember when the shield tablet came out that tablet was better than most android tablets even maybe 4 or 5 years later. I didn’t buy one myself but had the shield portable and loved it but the battery stopped working it was a known problem. Think of it if nvidia still made tablets i would buy one again.

From reading online, Chinese versions has widevine l1 with hd Netflix but no Google play. Global rom has Google play but open bootloader which means no hd Netflix. Correct me if I'm wrong.

In the official website of lenovo, it was listed that the p11 pro (the previous version) will receive upto 3 yrs of update meaning rn, it will receive upto android 12. Maybe this one will receive updates too tho I doubt it

Sure it is. For both of them, you may still feel the latency in thrid-party drawing apps (most of these apps got 60Hz support). But personally I can take it for drawing, especially on Mi Pad 5 Pro.

I choose mi pad 5 pro for it's LCD screen. I have mi pad 5 pro 6+128GB for almost 3 weeks. I use it reading color comic book. Here is a test of its screen from china. 2560x1600 resolution LCD The default brightness is 400 to 450 nits, the center is 402 nits, the color temperature is 8274k, the irradiation is 39.7.And 435nm short wave blue light is 0.096, and there is no excitation brightness. The visible spectrum is a wide color gamut backlight. The eye protection mode defaults to 357 nit, 435nm short wave blue light 0.067. Dimming global DC or high-frequency PWM, beyond the instrument range, can not read. You can find it has lower blue light as most of oled screen. But it has zero high-frequency. Almost all oled has high-frequency harm to eyes. The brightness is lower than top oled screen especially apply ipad. But if you want a eye-protect screen. It is the top. I use it long time reading that is why I choose mi pad 5 pro.

Have to be fair to mi pad as well. 120 Hz and the sound system and charging magnetic stylus topped xiaoxin. The design is sleek and clean back casing. Yes oled display is good but only 90 Hz. That's another handicapped shortfalls. Overall you wont be getting everything you would like to have for a middle range tablet.

Ordered and now using the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021. Overall, really good solid tablet....one main issue after googling online and myself experiencing it, the OLED has a serious flaw when you use it in a dark room / almost pitch black room, and low brightness on the OLED screen with dark grey background, you will see a big turn off on the screen. It has some dirty / white cloud effect and after checking online, it appears it is normal for this OLED quality from the xiaon xin pad pro 2021. A lot of users complaining about it. It only shows when you are in a dark room, and the OLED set to low birghtness & with dark grey background screen..

@@aspfan9067 Screen sharpness it will lose to mi pad5. Display issue still there, this is OLED tech issues (suspect OLD or low / mid range OLED display), thus the issue. As long you use it in normal daylight, it is a very very nice screen to watch content and do work. OLED colours does pop nicer than LCD. But if you can spurge a little more, go for the Mi pad 5 PRO, just that you cannot cast / output to another monitor / TV, that is the only main issue. I bought this because of the price and value. Only downside is the OLED, the rest is awesome

I've been taking a look at reddit and found that this is a normal problem with Oled screens, the same happens with Samsung tablets s6, s7, and on Oled TVs this problem also occurs, so the way is to get used to it.

Lenovo doesn't have a good support when it comes to OS version update. Don't expect Lenovo to roll out a new version of Android as quickly as Samsung.

Both very similar in almost everything. But watching movies is an activity more habitual and logical with a good and big TV in your living room. It must be admitted that in the end the main use of a tablet is internet browsing, pdf or comics . Basically read. The disadvantage of the Lenovo tablet with blurry images is too important and a main reason to go for MiPad 5.

If u really want a good media consumption experience, watching Netflix etc, there's no better option than an oled screen. Full stop. 😅. Most of the contents have a dark scenes and having watch it on lcd screen does make it a bit disappointing. my next tablet will obviously be an oled one.

Worst part of these China rom tablets is Widevine.. Xiaoxin is Widevine L3, not L1, that means you are stuck in SD streaming. No fullHD,4K on Netflix etc

It's hard to choose between the two tbh. Xiaomi got 120 hz ips, better speaker and fast charging while xiaoxin have 90hz oled, hdmi, expandable storage. Then there's xiaoxin pad 12.6 that will come with 120hz oled, but a bigger screen that is 12.6inch, but that size is kinda a bit too big for me.
