This is a good step. I have a Legion Go now and I love it. The only change I would really make is to add more RAM. I hope Lenovo keeps the detachable controllers and other features form the Go when it comes out with the second-gen of the product.

Not possible bud. The best you can find that's psp sized is an android based handheld like Retriod pocket 4 pro, Retriod pocket 5/mini or ayn Odin 2 mini.

@CraitMerc AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 24.12.1 is the only update I've done. It's been fantastic ever since, but I had to download it from the AMD website because they haven't given us an official Legion Go update since April/May 2024. It's Lenovo's fault. All my other Lenovo devices get an AMD update except the Lego.

Im drawn man. I own a steam deck lcd and want something more powerful (not oled version) but if the steam os version doesnt have a desktop mode ill be loosing out on to much emulations etc

Valve posted an article about SteamOS being on the Legion Go S, and it has a short FAQ with this info in it: "Is a user locked into playing only Steam games? No, if players wish to they can go to desktop mode and install other game launchers and software if they wish."

I'm sorry as to why others have knocked you down for not being upfront but it's not the words but the tone. It's hard to explain but I have been watching a lot of different CNET staff over the years as well as others who do declare hands. I don't know how to describe the tone but it's something I picked up on. I might watch it again after this message, maybe I was just feeling let down by CNET as a whole. With no live coverage with hosts on the day of conferences and the non existant stage that used to appear at so many CES and if that was the case I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize. This is a ridiculous statement. I use the Legion Go daily and it never feels heavy. Asking to basically cut the weight in HALF is nonsensical, as is comparing this to the Switch. The Switch is a child's toy, designed for children. The current generation of handheld gaming devices are not toys.

Lmao you don't know what your saying. On the CPU side it's slower yes but on the GPU side it's faster. It has double the CU's of the Z1 and it WILL outperform the Z1

@@dimap- SteamOS is custom Arch with custom package repositories, no one knows what Valve all stripped out, but the fact it doesn't even support a printer because they stripped CUPS means it has been heavily heavily stripped of functionality.
