Has anyone found a way to completely disable fan when running windows? On Linux I just made 'echo level 4 > /proc/acpi/ibm/fan' executed on each startup (with cron's @reboot config line) and I enjoy the silent operation. When I compile and CPU becomes hot, it is slown down by some 30%, but I prefer that to the noisy fan

Yes, you can edit 1080P videos without any issue but I'll suggest you to go for the 12th Gen version at least. You can also consider HP Victus or The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 for editing.

I’m using a 2013 T431s personally. It was running strong until I dropped and broke the screen. I have used T series my whole corporate career. Idk which Thinkpad you are using but they are the best windows laptop out there with an amazing keyboard. Don’t forget the track point.
