Great tutorial video, thanks 👍 I'm curious if you've had any ThinkPad laptop sent to your shop with *build quality issues* like broken hinges, gaping between the upper and bottom housing when unfolding the display, etc. I am looking to buy this model for home, hope that it'll last longer without having to shell out cash for bottom case cover and palm rest replacement after less than a year 😥

FYI, you can go to the boot menu from windows. Just hold shift and click restart. It should take you to the menu Also don’t install in BIOS mode, if the machine supports UEFI.

Hi. In the case of this video, I just did a clean install of windows 10. Other option of course, is to clone your factory drive to your new P5 SSD. I have many videos on this process. Thx, dale

Push the cable end in, the flap will get pushed down to allow it into the port. If it doesn't pull down the plastic flap as you push the cable end in.

depends on what you need it for. Speed is often limited by ram, and ssd. so in that regard yes. but software compatibility is always limited by cpu year. so.. if you want it to last, you should get a new laptop with the most recent cpu. for example, windows 11 wont even run on any laptop without tpm 2.0 or higher. which means the cpu must be insanely recent.

Where did you even get an E15 with a HDD? That doesn't make any sense now that NVMEs got that cheap. Just got my E15 Gen 2 AMD, it's a great value for the price! Though the display is just ok but not great. That seems to be common for all affordable thinkpads, even with the old IBM ones.

no.. laptops have gpus integrated in the motherboards. and some have them integrated in the processor. in which case you can change the cpu. but no, its not an option. a new laptop is cheaper than switching any of those.
