I repaired my Toshiba laptop because of this. Thank you so much Sorin! It's a BQ chip shorted. I replaced it. I thought the first mosfet is the problem then I saw this video, when I checked the BQ chip I don't see the 6volts.

I have issue like that all coil are ok but before I go to Sio let me check the battery ic bcos I think since I have 19v on CLR I believe 19vlines is ok

Check the charge port for damage/dry joint…often charger voltage spike on Charger I.D. Pin kills the EC

Good Video and hope they go ahead for part 2. 2015 date on the motherboard with GTX so a bit old but still worth saving with dedicated GPU chip but depends on EC price I suppose.

Is that uncured loca between the screen and digitizer? Don't let it leak out, it makes a horrible mess. I have Dell I got from a client leaking loca glue. I guess someone skipped the UV curing or maybe the build was too weak or something or whatever digitizers they bought don't allow the UV through to cure the adhesive. Be glad it isn't leaking. Just a frigging nightmare.

Dell XFR and Motion Computing tablets were famous for leaking LCD's, it is a horrific mess and then you get bubbles and goop.

Yep, as he raised current you see a steam bubble come out and float left across the chips logo, after seeing that it's easy to see the hole.

Lol. I asked you on your sunday live about mine problem, where i had only 1v after mosfets. You told me about bq chip. So i replace it, then i got exactly the same second problem. IO chip is dead. So i gave up. I don't have conditions to reprogramme a new one.

EC chip sometimes can program itself from bios chip, might worth to try
