Did consider this since it was pretty much what i wanted if i had a bigger budge when i needed a laptop some months ago. Found a good deal for a Ideapad 5 pro that you also seamead to like when you reviewd it and it will probably be more then good enough for my usage case the coming year or two anyway so iam happy.

Clipchamp is a lightweight (but pretty good) video editor that Microsoft recently acquired and rolled into an Office 365 subscription. You'll want to go into Vantage and check the audio settings - there's DSP options that makes a big difference to the volume/quality. Even so, it's not amazing, but certainly serviceable. Also, DSP seems to get turned off when in Battery Saver mode (one of the ctrl-Q toggles) and it gets much quieter and muffled (doesn't seem to affect digital output via bluetooth or USB). I have the AMD version, am assuming it's similar on the Intel version you have.

Thanks for the input! I messed around a bit with the audio settings and it's way better now. I have used the laptop for a few hours and I'm a big fan BUT my external monitor goes black every 60 seconds or so. Anything you experienced? Updating drivers now and hope it fixes the issue.

This same exact model is at the store where i usually buy my gadgets, and i cant wait to get my hands on it. Its notmal price is €1000 but is on sale for only €800. Its such a great value considering its almost at the same level as macbook pros.

Please test how loud it is in standard office and web browsing/KZbin work. Can you hear the fan there? There are no very detailed reviews out yet but many complained about noise. The old one was quite silent … Thanks! I was also waiting for a good price on it, I just had an Acer Swift 3 i5 which only cost me 500€ (a crazy good price!) but the keyboard was unusable for me and it had massive coil whine. The slim 7 pro x was available at 999 here in Austria but I hope for an even better price 😊

990€ maybe for 8 GB model, the cheapest I found is €1200 amd model with better battery life

@@w2best It was 999 € at Cyberport instead of 1200 € - the exact same configuration you have and VAT included. 16 GB RAM of course too. That was when they had discounts for a few days and I bought the Acer Swift 3 (i5, 16GB, 512GB) for 499 €. I watched your previous reviews and it seems that laptops are a bit cheaper here in Austria. (for example the Matebook 14 is 649 most of the time, the XPS 9305 899, the Matebook 14s was 899 and the Matebook X Pro 2021 999€ - all with 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD and Intel CPUs) But they got more expensive over the last two weeks ... I'm waiting for black friday, they I'll buy either the Slim 7 Pro X or one of the Matebooks)

I was thinking of buying this computer with a 3050 graphics card, and 12500h processor. The price in Sweden, with my chosen config, was about 1400 Euro, but overnight the price was raised to 1480 Euro and has now been like that for 3 weeks. Not a huge price increase but still a bit too expensive in my opinion. I'd rather add additional money and buy a Mac. In any case, this seems Lenovo's most interesting computer so far.

I am surprised that Lenovo chose silver keys - it gives a cheap impression and is very impractical as the contrast of the symbols/letters becomes much worse.

I wish I wait for it. I bought the old 7 pro. I am not very happy with this purchase. Razor sharp edges and display 2500x1400 with windows scaling produces smudgy view. Or maybe my sight is worse then before. Speakers and camere are pure sh….

I think the Sim 7 Pro is super solid, except for the battery life. Don't be too put off by your purchase.
