Lenovo Yoga Tab 11: Great tablet for parents and kids

This is an 11-inch Android 11 tablet with a built-in stand. Main selling feature is Kids Space which provides kid-friendly educational content.
Price is US 319. Here in Singapore, it's SGD 549 and available from Courts Singapore.

I just got a second hand older version just for the bigger screen since up until now when painting I would have my smartphone to look at the photo reference, but most of the references are in vertical so I have to fix the tablet on a cheap table easel

I like the folding handle of this line but Lenovo kind of dropped the ball not having a dedicated 3.5 jack for kids, don't think I would like to have their stuff blasting out while driving or at home. Having audio over USB C will just increase the likelihood of that port to wear out or break. Most bluetooth will have lag so I wouldn't want children to get used to that during speech forming years. Don't like the fabric back, just a point of the tablet for kids sticky fingers to trash, they should've just made it all plastic so it's easier to clean. Sadly the 13" version removes the SD slot so that's a major no buy for me. Would like to see the 13" or a 16" version with the 870 chipset, a metal back to help cool it, SD slot, video in and out, 3.5mm jack, and the USB C port either moved to the flat part of the body or rotated to allow a cordless wide body dongle to be plugged in without interfering with the base. I have a TV tuner that would lift the tablet if plugged in. Also, ditch that fabric Lenovo!

@themadatheist Good points. Agree on almost all of it. I have the 13 and it doesn't get hot at all. I did some transcoding and didn't remotely get hot so I think you probably shouldn't worry about that issue with the fake fabric.. Yes the lack of an SD slot is a bummer. But, in a weak defense of them, the USB speed is quick and transferring stuff on and off is quite effortless and quick. Dumping some movies on to it for a flight is a snap. I wish I could have gotten a 256 gig version but it wasn't available. :(

Nice, which version, the flat one with the built-in battery, or last gen with the AAAA battery? Planning on getting the SD870 version of the Lenovo Xiaoxin and the i3 based Surface Go 3 with AAAA battery pen. So that'll save me some money.

No. Resolution is only 2000 x 1200. So it's 1080P max.

i have ordered the p11 plus which is basically the internals of this one in the formfactor of the regular p11. no integrated kick stand hump. i prefer a flat tablet

@@chenatanaka1755 Maybe you can go into settings and find out that the screenshot shortcut it, or set a shortcut for yourself. Sometimes the screen shortcut is available with the quick menu you swipe down from the top.

This tablet does NOT have a headphone jack and almost impossible to find a protective case. Definitely NOT great for parents with young kids.

Just search "Yoga Tab 11 case" on Amazon. If kids need/want the headphone jack, then yeah it is a downside
