I have it for a while now. It is honestly fantastic, for couple of reasons. The type feel is obviously amazing, I never had a thinkpad so i cant compare, but i do have a macbook m2 and i like these keys a lot better than those on a mac. Connectivity never failed me, it is consistent and very fast to connect. the battery life is amazing, i charge it only every month or so, i honestly dont even know because it is so unobstrusive (you can still use it while it charges). It is very slim, so it fits in a small bag with a table perfectly, it always accompanies me wherever i go. The trackpoint is on a stiffer side, it tires me a little bit, but it is not a huge issue. occasional drift that the trackpoint gets (it happened a couple of time to me) can be instantly fixed by a reset. the fact that this is both mouse and keyboard makes this device so so amazing to carry with you. you can use it with your phone or tablet if you need a better input in a pinch. I can honestly only recommand this. it performes its job with flying colors and as a keyboard enthusiast i never found such a complete and convenient package before. 5/5 stars

I have the first gen Thinkpad Bluetooth Keyboard KT-1255 and I love it for general web browsing and CAD. Recently, I started coding, and the TrackPoint performance on it felt like a generic Synaptics you would find on an HP or Dell. It felt disconnected from my true intention. I then dusted off my much older Thinkpad USB keyboard SK-8855 and wow! This is a true Thinkpad experience. The keys felt bigger and my fingers slipped into home position instantly. Also, the trackpoint experience was more in tuned with my intentions, it had much more precision. I think the driver for this older USB keyboard were written in house by Lenovo, not contracted out to Synaptics. USB powered SK-8855 has more precision and bigger feeling keys with correct amount of key spring rate where I can rest my fingers and the keys stay up. Bluetooth KT-1255 keys feel really small and light springs. The weight of my fingers resting on the home keys often register a key press. Very annoying having to delete these unintended key presses.

i have the previous version which is not usable because the trackpoint acts whenever it wants. From the manual: Problem: The TrackPoint cursor drifts when the computer is turned on or after the computer resumes normal operation. Solution: The cursor might drift when you are not using the TrackPoint during normal operation. This is a normal feature of the TrackPoint and is not a defect. ... right ... using Thinkpad laptops for over 15 years and never had the problem but for the external keyboard it is normal.
