Could you tell us what Mode you were in (M,P,A,????), what was your focus set on? Do you have to keep focusing the entire time your taking movies to have a clean focused picture?

If MOV has less compression then is there a difference in bitrate between it and MP4? I understand the UHD bitrate is 144Mbps and I've not seen anything to indicate a difference in bitrate between MOV and MP4.

I checked that site and, wow, they spin there wheels and say virtually nothing of value. MOV and MP4 are containers whereas H.264 and H.265 go more to the way the data is actually compressed so I'd be surprised if there's a dimes worth of difference between MOV and MP4. The bigger difference, I would argue, is between H.264 and H.265. I have a DJI Phantom 4 Pro that records 4K video (UHD) at 100Mbps and you can select either H.264 or H.265 as well as MOV or MP4 -- I can't say that I see much difference though H.265 should preserved more detail with a given bitrate. You do need a newer PC or CPU/GPU to play an H.265 file smoothly. Interestingly, the only camera that mortals can afford that offers H.265 is the $1500 drone.

You guessed right. Sadly for some reasons in 4k recording focus peaking, highlight display and electronic stabilization do not work

Yes. If you go into the Photo Shooting Menu, scroll down to 'Secondary shot function' then select 'Backup'. It will then create a duplicate backup on your second card.

He didn't use AF. Only an amateur would try AF on a dslr. Manual focus and manual exposure always.

You may not have noticed that it wasn't a 45 minute video, but a 6 1/2 minute video. He packed a lot of info in that short time.

Better buy iPhone 8 or iPhone X , it has 4k at 60fps with optical image stabilisation at just 1k dollars.
