I love the irony that the ending where Stanley is liberated from mind control requires him to mindlessly obey every single command from the Narrator without question.

Plus it actually ends with the player completely losing control over Stanley movements while he walks into "freedom"... Ironic indeed.

I just realized something else about this ending... Narrator says "no one would ever tell him where to go, what to do, or how to feel", to immediately after narrate how Stanley walked through the door, move him without any player input, and tell how he felt freedom. Every time I get something new. This game, I swear, is something else. Can't wait for the bucket.

@@elekvault Remember, you aren't Stanley, so it actually makes sense. "The Player" losing control of Stanley could mean that Stanley finally has control of Stanley, and the Mind Control was actually the Player themselves.

You could play for weeks and not find all the endings. The amount of lines that had to be recorded by the narrator is unimaginable. And there’s an achievement for coming back to the game after not playing it for 10 years…

There's actually a "demo" of this game you should also check out. It uses the same mechanics as the real game does but it's a total different setting so you can experience a mini version of this style of gameplay.

It's a stealth action game: you can hide and sneak, get rid of some antagonists quietly... or you can go cruel and kill them. I don't play games too much now because it's hard to find something impressive and exciting, but 'Dishonored' series is one of the best games I've ever play. The game world is worked out to the smallest detail and lures you in such a way that you don't want to stop. 'Dishonored 1' (2012) is dark, 'Dishonored 2' (2016) is more bright and fascinating'. There is also the additional one, 'Dishonored: death of the Outsider', which is just as good as the 1st and the 2nd. Hope to see a "Lent's play" for these games)))

I have a mod for Final Fantasy XIV (shh. Don't tell Yoshi-P) that uses dialogue quips from the Narrator for various events in the game. (If I die, the Narrator makes fun of me for dying. Clearing a dungeon merits a surprised response. Etc.)

Glad to finally see someone recommend the Lego games-like, anywhere. Seems like those get slept on for gaming recommendation purposes, but the bulk of them are extremely solid. Somewhat formulaic and same-y when you break them down, perhaps, but that sure as hell hasn’t stopped the masses from fawning all over Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and almost every other popular franchise. Traveller’s Tales (or TT Games, as they’ve been going by for the past couple of decades) does excellent work. The ONLY problem I can cite with the Lego games is that some of them are prone to crashing, especially on Nintendo systems. This is due to the mind-blowing fact that every individual Lego piece is individually rendered. Makes for an incredible display and immersive experience, but it’s very taxing for systems to process. Speaking of Lego games, I’d like to add Lego City Undercover. Honestly one of my favorite games of the past couple of console generations (and I don’t just mean among Lego games). Whether or not it makes it on camera, it’s very much worth experiencing.
