1. 11:36 What the hell did Amos say there? 2. A group of birds is a flock. Flock is the word you’re looking for. 3. I really thought Chief was gonna die when he got knocked off by that train. 4. I really wonder why Disney was too pussy to show when someone was dying. All we know for sure is that Todd’s mother disappeared but we never really know for sure if she was actually killed. There is no hide, no corpse, no bullet in the head or chest, nothing. I’m sure she may have been killed but show that she was killed or else there’s no proof that she’s dead.

I, as a huge Star Wars fan at the time had planned to see it multiple times… instead after viewing it once, and then viewing The Matrix, it was a no brained which one I’d actually be viewing again in the theater… this was also my first ever dvd purchased.

I think this was the film that Don Bluth walked out when it was in development. Thought it was too cutesy. I think this film aged pretty well in terms of the story. Friendships can change and even end, but at least on mutual terms. You can move on and still care about each other while living your own lives.

I had generalized anxiety disorder and im in therapy and one of the things i love about how anxiety is potrayed is having good intentions. One of the things i learned in therapy is all thoughts even negative thoughts have good intentions because deep down we all want to be happy. I also believe emotions which can control our thoughts all have good intentions. Anxiety thought she was helping. But she didn't realize she was unintentionally hurting Riley. When we understand our emotions better it helps us manage them better

So one thing. Genetics are Genetics. Dogs shown love still rely on their breeding/Genetics bred into them. Copper and chief are both hunting dogs. You can't love out Genetics. That's why we have different breeds. It's definitely not how you raise them. That's why copper off the bat was a great hunting dog. Because he was bred for it.

As a kid of a lower class family, both going to the theater and having a VHS player was a luxury we wouldn't afford before I was like 9-10 (and both my older brothers had became independent). Plus, though we had a couple of Disney's TV shows in France, they only aired bits and pieces of Disney movies, cause you know... If you give them the whole movie for free, why would they bought the VHS ? So I only had illustrated books of some Disney stories and fairy tales. The Fox and The Hound was my favorite amongst them. But I could have swore that in my book, the oldest dog died in that train accident. So when, as an adult, I bought the DVD, I was kinda bugged that he survived. But I considered that I was just misremembering the story. But a comment below kinda confirms that I was right. I suppose the book I had was the original story, but with illustrations from the Disney movie to make more sales. Now, Sophie, considering that Amos went to spend literally months hunting for furs, and though it's not stated by the movie, it's fair to assume he didn't do it just for fun, but for a living. So his dogs are not just his pets, they also are his working tools. We can understand that he is not very happy that Chief got hurt/killed (depending on the version).

As narratively intriguing as it would be for Slade to have been the one to kill Tod's mother, I'm afraid the timing just doesn't fit. The time between the mother getting shot and Slade bringing Copper home couldn't have been more than half an hour - not enough time for Slade to shoot the vixen, bring the corpse home, tie up his dog, drive away, buy a puppy and come back.

When Tod chose to save copper from the bear he was probably thinking back to the night of Chief's accident when copper decided to let him go and thought he should return the favor making them even. If copper was thinking the exact same thing he could've still try to kill him like they intended hence why Tod accepted he was at his Mercy when he was injured from the fight with a bear but copper was probably touched by this and had flashes back to their friendship so he realized it wasn't worth it.

8:49 A lot of people have theorised that but I read online it's highly unlikely Amos was the hunter who killed Tod's mother because he was out purchasing copper at the time but I guess that isn't solid proof because there could have been a time skip. But if you listen at the beginning there were multiple dogs pursuing Tod's mom and chief was amo's only dog at the time so I don't think it was him.

So about the "Aren't you supposed to be for the whole world" .. kind of but not exactly. At the time, different ethnic groups had their own sets of Gods. It was called "Local gods" as opposed to "Global gods". The God of the hebrews was the god of, you guessed it, the Hebrews, who was different from the Gods of the Egyptians, or the Cannanites or the Moabites ect ect. It's a bit confusing since God according to Judaism created the world, but at the time each local population believed in their own Gods that belonged to their respective lands

I think this is one of the first Disney animated films I saw that didn't have a solidly happy ending. It's more a bittersweet ending, which I don't think they did much. A group of birds is a flock, though there are specific names for specific birds. Like a group of owls is a Parliament, which is kind of cool. Apparently many owls are solitary rather than going by flocks. And of owls, segue, the Big Mama Owl is voiced by the great Pearl Bailey. She was a singer and I believe actress. She caused some controversy once by supporting Nixon, Bill Cosby basically called her a traitor to Black people back when people cared what he had to say, but the interview I read about it she sounded basically apolitical. Nixon said he'd make her "Ambassador of Love" or something and she thought that sounded sweet. And she came across a bit "I just want us to love everyone Republican or Democrat." So I kind of like her.

chickens can fly. is just most of them because of us are just to fat to go very far. the lighter they are the more they can get off the ground. and because of the farms. farm chickens are trained to just breed 24/7. so they couldn't really have much energy to go anywhere on top of being fat. both wild chickens and turkeys can fly just fine.

The difference between wild animals and domesticated ones. I grew up in the rural south. This movie always gets me in the feels. Can you imagine Hollwood making a movie about anything with no real bad guys? One really feels bad for every single character in the movie! What? Character development? Pfft.....more explosions! more noise! Just more....more. I tell ya!

Even the bear was just living peacefully until a hunter showed up there trespassing & started laying traps, starting fires, & blasting his gun. As far as I'm concerned, the bear was justified, it could have had a family for all we know

@@bitterzombie Was the caterpillar living in peace until the birds did everything they could do to kill it? What, a useless take on how things really are. It is supposed to make us think and pause, but it tells a good story. Albeit sad, but that is life. I can tell you have never had a puppy that was bred for hunting. You barely have to train them!
