I believe we as Aquarians are as passionate as Leo's, but we don't compete with others or compare. We compete with our older selves- we have the need to evolve and develop intellectually.

IMO we basically 'intellectualize' our passion by deliberately and repeatedly recommitting to the things that we think are important to us, which we reaffirm by continuing to subject it to thoughtful consideration or scrutiny throughout or lives. We actually care *a lot* it just only feels productive and/or safe to express that by being 'serious' and deliberate and careful in giving full intellectual or idealistic breadth to whatever idea or thing we want to make room within ourselves for so it can become a part of ourselves, which for an air sign is kinda a huge commitment, the 'seriousness' and (pseudo?)-devotion thing, both, lol.

Very true about Aquarians. I'm not jealous of others or compare myself to others. I live for myself. It doesn't mean I'm cold and boring. I'm quite passionate about my goals, hobbies, and interests.

So are Aquarians...they do not get emotionally attached to a partner. They're all about themselves. My ex is Aquarian, Aquarius rising, Mercury and Saturn in Aquarius (1st house). I am Leo rising, Moon in 5th, and I don't turn around and replace people...at least not my deep emotional attachments.

Yo, I'm a leo and I felt like you talked about the Leo very well. However the Aquarius, I felt there was some things missing about them that makes them connected and different to leos. Leos being fire are more the fixed passionate doers and Aquarius are the fixed logical ideas. Aquarians and leos can be confused for each other as they both stand out in a similar way and have some similarities appearance wise. Leos could look eccentric like an aquarius just by wearing fashionable but uncommon trends. Aquarians can appear like leos in this ability to appear communicatively sure about themselves like Leos do. The difference is in the nuonces. For example, Leos will have a lot of fire in their opinions and a more passionate approach to things they say, where as Aquarians will be more thinky and detached with it like they are robots. Also Aquarians can be as fashionable as leo but they aren't usually so sometimes aquarians will just look a bit mad with their eccentric fashion where as leos give off this idea of uncommon due to just naturally standing out. They could be wearing the same stuff as everyone else and they would still stand out like they aren't normal. I've drawn in many Aquarians and they usually like me, and I really like them too. Very strange pattern of thinking, very funny, very social, a little bit static seemingly as if waiting for me to type orders into their interface, but very willing to do almost anything. One of my aquarius friends is very complimentary and always appears she is thinking about everything but also like she drifts into space. Okay rambling a lot but I hope that all makes any sense whatsoever.

The interesting thing about Aquarian pride is that the Sun itself is _about_ pride. The Sun rules Leo, and for good reason; Leo is about putting yourself at the center of everything, and focusing on your own contributions and responsibilities. It is about giving your light and sharing your warmth with those around you. Aquarius, rather, is the opposite - it is about being detached from all personal biases and being objective about everything. That's not to say that people with the Sun in Aquarius don't like being praised, appreciated, etc., but we pride ourselves in being objective, fair, considerate, etc.; basically, we pride ourselves in being humble. If that sounds like an oxymoron, that's because it is, and it's perhaps why the Sun is in detriment in Aquarius. The dark side of Aquarius (ruled by Saturn, the darkest and heaviest planet) is that one can be so committed to being objective and generally "right" that they take their personal biases _to be_ the objective truth, because they are so far removed from the idea that they can have subjective biases to begin with. Leo, in contrast, recognizes that their personal worldview _is_ their personal worldview, and doesn't pretend to know the truth about everything - but then they don't always take the time to look into other perspectives, because their personal worldview is all that matters to them. Both of these signs can yield the most loving and caring individuals you will ever meet, but with every pro there is potential for a con if taken in excess.

Also, I think that Aquarian independence isn't about being prideful, it's (again) about being objective. It's to say "I'm so objective and detached from my personal biases and feelings that I honestly don't care what you think about me, and to demonstrate that, I'm going to be as strange as I can fathom while still being morally and ethically upright". Basically, we exist regardless of who perceives us or is there to validate us. (But we still want you to validate us, uwu. We just don't want to admit it.)

I agree with everything about us Aquarius except the passion and attachment. If you provide what I need in a relationship and I'm loved, I tend to love hard and can be very passionate, loyal to a fault, and I give the relationship my all.

I will say as an Aquarius, I love abstraction and the world- but I appreciate a level of individualism that other signs carry. I love interacting with Leos, I enjoy their company- and as I age, I understand how to be more giving emotionally, and I think that's a great thing. It is possible to care for the world, as well as a partner :) Awesome video though 8-)

I relate to this hard. I'm Leo Rising, so I definitely have elements of this (especially being unintentionally intimidating). My dad is also an Aquarius and we definitely both have a lot of pride. We connect intellectually very easily, even while arguing.... connecting emotionally is.... let's say, Uranian. I've sort have had to learn his code for encouragement/love. We argue a lot and we definitely approach issues from a completely different mindset, but after one argument I explained what gave me that perspective - he later told my stepmom that he "liked the way [I] think." Which was kind of huge. And after a very different argument I remember him saying to me, "You just care sooo much." I replied, "Well, you didn't raise me not to care." There was a long pause and he finally said, "Yeah, that's true." I still don't know if he was thinking about the implications of that or actually reviewing the span of my childhood trying to decide if that was something he encouraged.

I love these series...you have the most original insights. Is it me or do you think Virgo and Aquarius energy tends to not see eye-to-eye most of the time? I'm Aquarius Sun/Aquarius Venus and I cannot stand most people w/ heavy Virgo in them. I will say that I can appreciate them for their intellect, but they are too quick to analyze things and people, and analyzing too much can sometimes turn into judging merely based on quick observations. I feel like these two can have the most explosive arguments done w/ the most calmest demeanor lol.

+Mango Time Most definitely! Haha. Virgo and Aquarius are the two gentlemen with tea arguing and you never know it. Aquarius likes a challenge and new perspective, and Virgo likes to point out (what they deem) the obvious... both signs state opinions like they are stating facts so both go on the defensive when they start to express opinions. That respect for the others intellect keeps the situation calm (for the most part), but battles of the mind are fierce with those two. Coming from a Virgo Sun here haha, and my Leo Moon an the ascendant just makes it all worse.

You talk about leos caring a lot... I think we aquarians do as well, at least i do, and choose not to care so it doesn't hurt. The more you care, the more you get attached, the easier it is to feel pain and that, in may case makes me vulnerable to my own emotions. Makes it hard to keep my head cool and think straight. Sometimes i wish i couldn't feel at all. It's easier to go around the world without caring or without attachments that's why it is healthy to keep oneself alone or aware of the loneliness, emotionally independant, if you will, yet aware you're a part of the society and, maybe in a contradictory fashion, you need society as much as society needs you as a part to work as a whole.because that's reality (there's your individualism) say you re a doctor. Well, society needs one and you need them on other ways and this is just an example. And barely the tip of the iceberg, IMO.

I also dated a leo... it only lasted because I have a taurus moon... but this guy had no sense of fashion, and played the victim role constantly! I noticed he found it difficult to empathize with others if there was no direct benefit for him and he would cry at the drop of a dime for the oddest things... being a detached aquarius seeing a grown man cry constantly was repulsive to me especially when it is never crying for anyone else but only crying for perceived blows to their inflated and very casual ego. leos are almost incapable of caring for anyone or anything that doesn't stroke their egos.

Leo’s can be very annoying when you ask them to adjust something that bothers you. Big babies who seek validation even when they are wrong.
