cluster flies : Cluster flies hibernate in secluded areas of houses (like in wall voids, attics, closets, and empty rooms). They are a particular nuisance because they leave stains on walls and curtains. Also, if flies die in wall voids, they may attract larder beetles, which will feed on the dead flies and then migrate to other areas of the house. Adult cluster flies start looking for winter shelter when the days shorten in late summer and early fall. They are often attracted to the warm south and west sides of buildings, particularly those located in open and exposed areas. After sunning themselves during the day, the flies will look for a warmer place as the sun goes down and will eventually crawl into any small opening they can find in the house siding or under eaves. They may then settle within the walls or attic to hibernate. Cluster flies. They come out in the spring and fall, on warm sunny days. They hang out on the windows. I have a she shed that gets thousands. Theres been a couple of dozen hanging out in my front window. I use a vacuum cleaner with a bag and suck them up, more just come back. They hibernate when it gets cold and look dead, but will revitalize with warmth. I think theyre worse this year because the past winter was so warm

Flies. A unusual interaction with flies I think, is a sign from the universe that someone is watching you/spying on you. Like the saying "a fly on the wall". I'd look into that. And also, fly tape is the only thing that works. And try to keep the window near the space open so they can leave. Maybe encourage them to leave with sage?

I know here in Australia flies hide out and shelter in carports, door ways, undercover areas etc from wind, rain, the harsh sun and heat here it’s a natural occurrence… sometimes we have plague proportions of flies, sometimes we don’t… also a natural cycle in nature! While probably annoying as heck for you! The life cycle of a fly is extremely short, they will all be gone in a day or so! Omg I had a similar experience with flies in an apt I lived in years ago!!!! My sliding door was BLACK from how many flies were gathered on it. Never found out why they were all there or where they came from. So freaky!

You will eventually find the egg shells that the flies hatched from. It doesnt have to be a rotting carcass for them to have their baby maggots on/in. Anyways, a couple fly traps or strips will help eliminate them faster if you dont want to spray poison.
