SPOLIERS WARNING Instead of hyena content, 1. Parthiban's teen son unfortunately falls into drug addiction and it causes Parthiban to face his past. 2. Instead of Sandy and Myskin being killers they could have been the drug suppliers in Himachal who had the branding of DAS and CO, which would have triggered Parthiban. Either of these two plots would have made Parthiban to be part of LCU and to make a drug free society. Now for Leo Das, instead of human sacrifice which made Leo to change to Parthiban. Loki should have made how the drug made Madonna to loose her life influenced by her uncle Arjun. Due to this, the Parthiban character has a strong connection with Priya Anand or Jannani who he considers her has his sister. (Emotional content similar to the two boys death in Master). The human sacrifice did not make sense to me that being the anchor point for Leo to become Parthiban was illogical. Lastly, many came to know that Leo is going to be an adaptation of History of violence, but I would have been for a shock if Loki would have made the father character (Sanjay Dutt) to realize how his brother (Arjun) betrayed him in making Sanjay Dutt to care more about Das and CO rather than his kids. Therefore, making Harold Das as the main antagonist and continue to LEO 2. Leo should have ended with a fight with Sanjay Dutt dying in the climax realizing his mistake and the betrayal of his brother who wanted to gain ownerhip of DAS and CO. With Arjun charater (Harold) escaping and contacting his son ROLEX would have been goosebump for me and then VIKRAM calling Parthiban to join him.

I thought Leo was not a revenge film because, from the start Parthiban's only wish was to keep his family from danger and lead a normal life, but when Das & co came for his family he tried only protecting them, he always wanted to keep his past away and forget that Leo ever existed. Even he kills Anthony and Harold to get his son back and not for revenge. Also the LCU connect was forced in the sense that Leo didn't actually want to join Vikram which is evident from his reaction.

But I also get your point, that Leo can redeem himself by joining the black squad , but its not clear in the movie is my point, also from Parthiban's last reaction he also doesn't like this idea. Let's just wait for other movies from LCU and decide how this goes. Hope for a much more well written engaging movie, than just putting out easter eggs for the audience to scream at.

So many little moments like how caricaturistic they made a transgender character, the military bombing a place with the public around, plenty of choppers with experts unable to shoot a boat and many more such scenes that had so many logic loopholes that as a fan of H.Vinoth's writing it was disappointing. But I remember after watching Varisu (Terrible Film) and Thunivu (Terrible Film) back to back. I was so hopeful Plip Plip would roast both the film. But they roasted Varisu and did a film appreciation for Thunivu. Keep in mind that they are the same ones who roasted Vikram (Easily one of the finest films in commercial cinema). But I still accepted that because I thought maybe it didn't work for some. But a FILM APPRECIATION!! I mean the obviousity was screaming out loud there! (To protect Red Giant's goodwill by convincing us that Thunivu is better than Varisu) Note: There were distribution issues between Red Giant and 7 Screen Studios at the time. Like OG Sarvss once said: Pii la endha Pii nalla Pii ni ketta enna solluven Plip Plip didn't have to sell themselves to achieve it.

The negative reviews say that the Villains are not powerful. That's the same question Lokesh brings up in the movie, which is Villain Yaaru da? The Villain is Leo Dass and the hero is also Parthiban. The rest of the characters are just supporting characters only. Even Sanjay Dutt is not a bad person compared to Leo. He saves Leo when everyone decides to kill him. He saves Leo's family from the serial killer villains. He never came to the cafe to kill Leo, he came to ask for his son. He acts according to his beliefs and that doesn't make him a bad person. There's a scene in a cafe when Leo and Anthony meet up at the cafe. Behind Anthony's head there will portray an angel wings symbol while behind Leo will be a sharp evil crown. Even Harold Dass respects his brother Anthony's decision, which is to sacrifice either Leo or his sister and he decides not to hurt a girl and chooses Leo. It shows his respect for his brother(Anthony's decision) and Harold never breaks the rules of killing them. Harold will kill Leo's sister only when Leo burns all the products of Dass & Co. Everything that Anthony and Harold want is to bring Leo back and build the empire he destroyed. That is why they actually celebrated by lifting Leo's picture when they confirmed that it is Leo. After all, family's love never fails all the years. (Peaky Blinders). Lokesh concludes to us that Leo is the Villain when Leo tells the audience that he has nothing good to say about his past, since he never did anything good. Not only that, he will also kill anyone who comes in his way to identify him as Leo Dass in the future. One man show it is indeed!!!

Rather working for 1 year on the CG they could have worked on the screenplay. There is this new thing in Tamil Cinema, bringing in former hero's or actors or heroines to promote nostalgia for audience in the hope they come and see the picture. This film has too many of them, but what is the use if they don't have a weighted role in the film, they come and go audience also will just blink their eye and these actors will mean nothing to them in the film. Lokesh, should have just continue to do Kaithi 2 with Karthik and complete the series. Some fellow gave him this "universe" idea and he really believed on this thing.t. This is when a director looses his purpose. One using famous actors without really looking into screenplay. The entire films look like iron casting factory. A real cigarette factor, is clean and full automated. People there dress up just like in semiconductor industry. All white overall dustfree suit. Also tea kadai story looks very similar to the English film. Also what is the use of Trisha in the film? She is not even acting. Too much money given to the actress doing nothing, she need to really work for the money. She is another Nostalgic character. Also there is a rumour that LOKI did not direct the second part of the film but his assistant director as there was some creative differences between LOKI and Vijay. It’s said that Vijay wanted to be the LEO but LOKI was not going to reveal it probably on his 10th film. So this was the Rumour and that is one of the reason why the music event also did not happen as most probably LOKI won’t attend it. Only Vijay and Loki or that assistant director knows the truth.

If Parthi and Leo arent the same person, this movie could’ve been much better. Because since they are the same person, the emotional scene has become gaslighting scene. The family man’s pure struggle to save his family has become fake. Yet the 2nd half flashback and LCU connect was a major drawback. And why leo didnt go and revenge for his sister’s death right away? Why putting up a drama saying hes not leo and pretending to stay away yet he knows one day he will be recognised by Das gang? Wtf is this narabali concept😂? First half was insanely good. Sandy and mysskin should have been throughout the film. Hope Lokesh can redeem himself in the next thalaivar film
