It's a shame how trauma and lack of present day's education rots people's thought proccess such as that of Co's. No differences, and the world is going to become stagnant and many people are either going progressively be left wanting or lack the development of empathy, as the rest of nature evolves and becomes deadlier. Besides, people are going to take different interpretations of what he accomplished and divide the world again. Is he even aware of that ?

I don't see any problem in the paradox of allowing freedom while keeping yourself at the top. To do otherwise means you're going to be walked over, or that you interrupt your own development as a person. Why does the freedom of another should automatically mean more than mine, and vice-versa ? That is going to depend on one's self merit (accomplishments, potential, usefulness, etc.), whick can not be determined by neither status nor incompetence. Paradoxes are merely obstacles to be taken control of so progress can be handled properly and carefully. It's a good thing Sinbad is this way, because freedom is about ambition and greed as well. You are not forced to rob someone else's freedom, but you are not forced to uphold the utilitarian greater good either.

Sinbad is the definition of True Ambition, a King who wishes to be truly on top, if Sinbad truly knew when to stop and stay where he was, he would be known as the best King, but he can never accept that, he is the Singularity, he can see the future, he rides the future, he needs to be in top, and I love his ending, wish we could see if he could’ve returned
@dragoncat5767 Жыл бұрын
He was already shown like to do everything his own way,like how he wanted to change the world,the wars and all of the stuff, but like he wanted to force his ideals And he always did. That's why he is one of the coolest character even if he were to be antagonist,to be honest,his character is way more complex in magi than how it was in adventures of Sinbad,so I kind of expected that he would be like that

That kinda reminds me how Kessler wanted to have Cole rise to the top as well, though for (supposedly) less ambitious reasons. That said, I want to make a crossover of sorts between this show and the original games (neutral karma version), by making some of the anime's characters part of this universe. But... Where would Alladin fit best ? I know I want his powers to include slower aging and quantic energy manipulation (or whatever it is that allows the Flash manipulate reality to a small scale, except I don't want Alladin to have super speed). But: -Should he be Kessler's child brought from the future alongside him (this would probably force me to remove the storyline in which Trish is sacrificed) ? -One of the successful human test subjects that could never be replicated, forcing Kessler to build the Ray Sphere as if it was a bomb ? He can't be a random citizen turned by the Beast, Cole's Ray Sphere or Bertrand's. His place must be something that gives him insight towards Kessler and the First Sons. P.S: Could Sinbad fit in somehow as well ? And where and when ?

Also, Sinbad reminds me of the characters I play as in choice based games, and I think the fact my ambitions don't lead to a country/world's end or have multiple contingency plans to make sure the consequences aren't fatal says a lot about how many things he's doing wrong in his quest for power. I guess Azula was kinda right. The right to rule is something beyond being able to reach the top and keep it through ambition alone. It must be something natural to you. Something that is going to make sure people are always gonna bow to you, as if they had been bewitched by destiny itself. Long Feng was careless by getting rid of the generals instead of turning them to his side, even if they did not belong to the Dai Li and could not be brainwashed.

Not enough can be said about sinbad, honestly. For me, it's incredible how I, a reader, became just as manipulated as his followers. I got sucked into his charisma, sympathized with him and despite all the selfish choices he made, I still felt like he is incredible, just like every single one of his friends and supporters. Indeed, magi's masterpiece can be said to be sinbad, the one who has managed to manipulate the readers

Best comment and take on sinbad, a lot of people are still charmed by him and view him as a benevolent force, not a flawed character operating Sindria’s (and by extension his) influence over other countries, the same thing Parthevia was doing when he was young

There’s a really important point in sinbad's slavery saga. He finds out a solution to beat Madaura himself, using those kids, without trusting that his friends were gonna help him. That is Sinbad. Someone that doesn't trust his own nakamas. If he had waited as a prisoner only a little more time, his friends would have saved him, with Balbad's King help. But he didn't, because... HE IS SINBAD, THE CONQUEROR OF THE SEVEN SEAS. THE SINGULARITY...

Great vid, Sinbad as a character is more complex than I thought, It makes his character that much better, and at the end of the day he is just human, a very greedy one at that. From an anime only pov, Sinbad is a op character with no flaws, a perfect human by definition however, learning about the dark side of sinbad is an eye opener.

Yea, there are many sides to him, most interesting is the fact that his bad deeds are seen as Good from his perspective, making him the opposite of those Cartoonishly Bad Villains who do Dumb Shit for no reason, altho this vid is pretty bad, one day i need to remake it

Dude Sinbad story, his ambition, even after all the wrong things and his flaws, I STILL want to see him succeed and achieve his goals. It breaks my heart everytime he falls into depravity but I cant help but really be drawn to him. I don’t think any character comes close to the admiration I have for this fictional character. Closest thing was Goku when I was a child because he was the strongest and he always saved everyone, but the complexity and realism of Sinbad. He reminds me so much of Che Guevara is crazy, they were both deeply passionate men who did what they believed was necessary to save their land and everyone around them, despite the fact that often they contradicted their own morals. Sinbad is truly a revolutionary who believed the greater good for the world involved hard decisions no one was willing to take, he was ready to give his life (and anyone else’s) for his cause. He put his goals and end result above his morals and principles and I can’t help but root for him or wish him the best.
