Augie was 2 1/2 months old when I brought him home. He was quite the challenge to raise being of the Eastern European variety and intact but I am retired and was able to give him literally all my time. We will celebrate his 4th birthday next week and the time has flown by! I could not have hoped for a finer companion and he is a gift from God in so many ways. Love your channel!

It's been a little over a year and a half since I had to put down my GSD Gunnar. Far, far too early (he was 6 1/2). This video brought back a ton of memories from the first few months after I brought him home. Happy memories for sure, but definitely made me miss him and almost lost it a few times watching this. I would have taken a bullet for that dog. Hopefully my work situation will change to where I can be home more often in the future and get another. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

I remember when my 2 GS were only 3 months old. They’re so cute at that age. Now my 2 boys are 12 months old and around 95lbs each. They are complete gentlemen and get along with our chickens and cats!

Oh boy..this is rough. I couldn't watch this for more than 5 mins. Here's my story: In my early teens, our German Shepard had a litter of 7 puppies. I was allowed to keep one and I named him "Pepper ". He looked EXACTLY like your dog. Against my will, he was kept outside but was " Free " to run around during the day. We built him a doghouse and I cried every night he was in there. He got bigger, stronger then he jumped over our 6ft fence a few times. Once He got a hold of another dog, punctured his lungs and almost killed it. My father put a collar around his neck linked to a heavy tow chain, with a cinder block on the end. He looked like a prisoner dragging it around in the heat and rain. This was the most depressing time in my life watching this. One day I came home from school and he was missing. I freaked out looking for him. My father sat me down and told me he gave him away to the local pound. I was beside myself and devastated. He told me it went to a good home with a big yard. Of course, I didn't believe him. Did he have him put down? I didn't know what to believe. From that day forward, I resented my father with the upmost disdain until he died in 1987. Till this day its hard to watch anything that resembles my beloved ,beautiful Pepper. Im 63 years old today and still not healed from the heartache. I had to stop several times writing this because of the tears that burst from my eyes. When it's my time to enter heaven, I'd love be with him again and Nobody will take him away. Thank you for allowing me to share this too you.

I believe if you are there you will see your Pepper, he is fine. You know; God Himself said The good man is kind to his animals, God said He knows when the sparrow falls [dies] from the tree. I witness to strangers on the street. I also feed the little squirrels etc. Your father was not kind to Pepper. Your father resented anything strong and powerful, he saw it as a threat to his masculinity instead of a great friend. Pepper is with my G.S. Rex, and my darling G.S. Max, running, barking.

Many, many, many moons ago I was a Military Dog handle. Handled only GSD's, nine in total. That is one beautiful dog, looks very intelligent must be a pleasure to train him. He will be your friend and protector for life. I envy you.
