Because they easily stir up a mob, it will not be a peaceful arrest you'll be surrounded by hundreds on the edge of a riot, and the police will always knuckle under to deescalate . I see it all the time at speakers corner Hyde park, in this midst of a mob of Muslims a Christian will often get assaulted and the police always treat the Christian as if they are the culprit. I'm an atheist not a fan of any religion, I don't think the UK is a Christian country, but this bias in favour of Muslims is obvious to me, the police have a choice to uphold the rights of the individual or try and arrest 30 Muslims , the calculus is easy for them. We've seen the police just give up chasing down culprits who attempted murder by stabbing, and on other occasions for assaults , to then return to castigate the victim of the crime.
