This girl has the best voice on the planet at the moment, she deserves much more of a status. Adele, Alexandra etc are all very talented but Leona is on another level, its just a shame not everyone has the eye to see it.

Listen to the audience singing back to her. She's so amazing. She's SO underrated in the media (actual music wise, not stupid pap stories) but when she's on stage she draws our spirits out of our bodies and carries us to heaven. So glad I've seen her live. A god sent voice. She can break your heart and put it together again in one verse, never mind an entire song.

Finally Leona did something original and lowered the key several steps. Still sang it the same way Mariah did. For all of you Leona Stans, Mariah still sings this song, one step lower than she did in her prime and sings the heck out it. So no Mariah's voice is no shot. I will say In the end Leona sang it well, kept it in the middle and didn't try and sing high. Kudos.

@MrThelasttear Thank you for not being a jerk about my opinion. You are correct about her head voice. For me it's the best of this generation. I hope her third album is like how she was during the Spirt era. I was just watching her Better In Time performance at the AMAs and her tone was so magical there. However, I didn't feel the same magic during the Echo era. I don't know, but I hope she gets better as an artist, because there's apart of me that wants to be a fan too. :-)

I love both Mariah Carey and Leona, really no comparison between them because they both pull out good vocals. Mariah has paid her do's a long time ago, and grew up with Michael's music as well sang beside him. Her and Whitney Houston made the song for Prince of Egypt. It's time for Leona to shine for this generation.

However, there's something missing from her as an artist, and I'm just trying to explain why there's indifference about someone who's a good vocalist. Considering that she lowered the key and condensed the range to point where I had to fast foward two-thirds of this performance just to be even remotely moved, it was a nice rendition and a personal best for Leona.
