@@LovesOfLauryn I agree with all you said about Malleus and Lilia. Except Lilia being a maybe I would definitely let him lay on my lap cause I love him too. I love Leona as well even though there are times in some of his voice lines he can be tease.

...well, I would call it bullying if not for the fact that Leona actually was trying to give Jamil some friendly advice from someone more experienced, so I decided to call it tough love 😅 lots of tough love! With some hits if Jamil got distracted 😂 I am glad that Jamil can see things a little better but I am sad that Leona didn't put himself in the position to receive help too, since he clearly still seems to see himself as stuck, or it's how I understood his commentary about "not being like you" in low voice.

yea!!!! i love jamil and leona's tower descent development!! it's my favorite i think bc it actually touches on, like, their book 4 and book 2 storylines a bit. especially since book 2 did not do leona any favors in terms of fleshing him out as a character, but seeing him and how he speaks with jamil we get a much better, more rounded idea of how he views the world and stuff. and it's great seeing how jamil gets a new perspective of his position and situation. 11:25 [bit of an explanation from what i've heard, though i could be misremembering it a bit] . . . this line of Leona's is actually slightly mistranslated apparently. originally, the japanese line has the "you" as the subject, not the "i", making it more closely to "you're not like me." this sorta changes the meaning of this line, in that, Leona believes Jamil still has a chance to rise up and find his way out of his internal situation (not feeling like he's given chances to shine and whatnot), where as Leona has put in all this work over the course of his life but is stuck stagnant at Second Place (being a second born prince and disliked by the Royal Court despite his efforts). since the topic of their convo was about Jamil, it makes more sense that the line of dialogue puts Jamil at the subject (" you"), however for some reason the translation and localization made it so that Leona ("i'm") was the subject, which makes it a little confusing like how you were wondering right after reading the line.
