I guess his attitude towards teasing can still make sense though, if he spent most of his youth at private schools & then being isolated by Mystra, he probably didn't get to really grow up with them (though I'm not sure the writers actually would've written that detail in there)

When I romanced Gale I also played a sorcerer (draconic bloodline), but I went with the ending where we get married and he becomes a teacher at Waterdeep. I like to think she occasional visits while he's teaching and does sorcerer things, just to get a rise out of the would be wizard students. Meanwhile Gale is standing there shaking his head, going "Gods help me", but he secretly loves it.

Sounds nice as long as Mystra isn't one of the gods he’s referring to. My Tav who married him was a lolthsworn drow bardarian. If Mystra was a mortal my Tav would have %100 killed her and made a new pair of earrings from Mystas bones to replace gale’s current earing and have a matching set. Mystra is the worst even if my Tav was a bit less evil aligned I don't think most people like their partner’s ex, especially when said ex low key groomed him and then told him to kill himself.

I like how this game allows you to have some sorts of multiple enemies to lovers : Gale as a sorcerer. Shadow heart as a Selunite Cleric/Paladin or Lae'Zel. Astarion as a Oath of the Ancients Paladin. Lae'Zel as Shadowheart. Halsin as a Drow. Minthara as a High-Elf. Karlach and Wyll as each others.

i've romanced gale twice, both as a bard and as a sorcerer. neither had to roll for his magic lesson, but while my bard set out to fix him, my sorcerer tried to make him worse and push him toward godhood. either way, he's so fun to mess with.

I am also playing a Wild Magic Sorcerer!!! I unfortunately dont have Gale in my party as I failed to get him out of the portal (since I failed my Strength rolls) but if I did have him in my party and my character had to hear his 0:36 reply she'd waste no time wanting to launch him right back into the portal. 😂 Maybe in my next playthrough (if I'm lucky enough to get Gale), I think he and my character would get along (Gale sass aside). I could see them as the type of friends who spends hours in a library in deep research. I should also add my character is a sage.
