You should do Herbert von Karajan and Carlos Kleiber. I'm no conductor but I've always been fascinated by how conductors communicate with their orchestras. You video is very informative, straight to the point. You earned a sub!

Thanks a lot!!! Yes, Carlos Kleiber will probably be the next one. And of course, Herbert von Karajan will also be part of the analysis videos 😊. In two weeks, I am traveling to the US for 5 weeks, so it will take a while until I continue the series.

great video, very interesting and helpful content! Two high quality video angles are superb, a small thing though, I would suggest getting acoustic treatment for your room so that the clearness of the audio is improved and the echoes and reflections reduced. Great content, keep it up, not many high quality conducting videos out there!!

You are right! I have to put some acoustic panels into my room. Hopefully, it will be much better then 😊

I second this, and also a tiny little bit of de-essing, since your Ss are longer and louder than many of your other consonants. Don’t touch de-noiseing unless you’re going to go super subtle though!

@@thegoodgeneral Very good, thanks a lot! Yes, the de-noiser is in there 🙈. The panels will hopefully solve most of the acoustic problems 😉

Man was enjoying himself here. I think he has much command in some other serious and sophisticated works that he cares about, like his Mahler. Not a piece where players would be able to play itself, at least when you listen closely to Bernstein's interpretations
@AndreBaumeisterСағат бұрын
Thank you for your insight! Bernstein definitely had a unique ability to deeply connect with the music he cared most about, like Mahler, where his interpretations often revealed layers of emotional depth. You're absolutely right-his command shines brightest in works where his personal passion and musical sophistication come through.

Thank you for your comment! I don’t speak Spanish, but I’ve done my best to understand it with a translation. I think you’re saying you wish Cooper had worked with me-if that’s correct, I appreciate the sentiment! 😊

@AndreBaumeister That's totally correct!

Some people in the orchestra were tired of his dancing.
@AndreBaumeisterСағат бұрын
Thank you for your comment! Bernstein’s conducting style was certainly unique and full of energy-his "dancing" was a reflection of his deep connection to the music. While it may not have been for everyone, it’s undeniable that his passion inspired both musicians and audiences worldwide. 😊
