You may not have lived as long as we would have liked, but I sure hoped you prospered.

In fact, the USS Enterprise is a Constitution-class cruiser, isn't it?
@PuertoRican886 жыл бұрын
Crispito19 yes thats correct.
@Bartman9544 жыл бұрын
Yep, first described in TNG. Before then, the Enterprise was a "Starship" class

Indeed.

Yes. We should have waited let the first one to get named Constitution, and the second one Enterprise

@@cbspock1701given that the 2nd one built (1st one space worthy) was Columbia maybe that’s not a good idea

It's so great to see him at this event. The name change was logical ... the name 'Constitution' should be saved for the first starship - NCC-1700!

Should we survive as a race long enough, the first ship that should leave the Earth in such a fashion should bear the name "Enterprise". Fate protects fools, little children and ships named "Enterprise". Live long and prosper.

As a Star Trek fan myself I can't get over the fans insisting that the one shuttle that was never intended to go to space be named for the famed starship Enterprise. I would have preferred this one be named Atlantis and the Atlantis have been named the Enterprise. That would have been a much better and much more fitting tribute to the show and its iconic ship.

@PuertoRican887 жыл бұрын
Sean Harrison well it's sort of a spaceship or spacecraft in a way yes that's been design to fly in space. Maybe sometime in the future starships can be built but warp drive is still far to be researched and studied if its possible that is.
@squishykotetsu4 жыл бұрын
That's accurate though! Even the suits that astronauts use for space walks (EVA) are referred to as spaceships, because they're self-contained, life-sustaining maneuverable space crafts! :)

Well it’s name technically comes from Star Trek which got its name from the USS ENTERPRISE CV-6 aircraft carrier which was the most decorated war ship of the Second World War
