Not 100% sure, but it seems like each character gets a stage, so the number of playable characters and stages would stay the same. Even when the stages aren't super specifically related to the character, just the series in general. Like they said Jellyfish Fields is Spongebob's stage, and the Flying Dutchman's Ship is Patrick's stage.

Characters with disjoints tend to have other flaws to balance them in Smash Ultimate. Sword characters might be generally good, but there are PLENTY of top tiers who have attacks with little to no disjoint, like pikachu. Don't act like the only aspect of a character is attacks and the only way to improve/nerf a character is by making their attacks have more/less range or power... There are tons of other aspects. For example, Ike, Corrin, Robin, and Byleth all have extremely low mobility and can get out-frame data'd. Sword characters also tend to have weaker recoveries than most.

My number one oddball pick for this game would be Francine(Nick Animated Shorts) or Harpy Gee(Nick Animated Shorts). Itd be a great way to reveal that they would be greenlit. Ollies Pack used to be a short 2 years ago called Monster Pack and that got greenlit.

Very basic moveset but expected of Leonardo. His katanas quick slicing sword attacks are his signature thing after all. I just hope Raphael and Donatello make it in this game too.

They will I think they either going to be unlockable or DLC ( hopefully unlockable like in SSB melee) and Im really hoping they put shredder in this cause we need more villains on the roster.
