Thanks for your video , but I though that pointillism technique as per G Seurat did is only using the 3 primary colors using dot, and not overlapping. This is the human eye which makes the mix of two close dots to render the color. Means one dot yellow close to a blue one will be seen as green at a certain distance. No mix of colors allowed, just those 3 primary colors dots. The smaller the dot the more detailed paint.

Hi there. Yes u r absolutely correct..this is a shortcut technique I invented for my students to get a similar feel. No student has the patience to spend years on one painting!😁 I do teach them the theory, but this technique works well to give them quick results.
