Thank you so much! This video was completely awesome. I especially like how you created your colour wheel. You also made it a lot easier to understand how to paint like Seurat - I never realized that he created the shadows and highlights like that.

I love all of your “paint like a..” series! It’s one of the best breakdowns I’ve found on how to paint like these masters. Can you please do Monet lily pond painting and a painting like Matisse? Matisse’s art of different rooms is stunning.

Haha, thanks a lot! The trick is maybe to reach a “generic Color” first (I.e any green by juxtaposing blue and yellow), and then add dots to adjust to the Color you really want in that area?

I finally learned how to pronounce George Seurat too! :D I recently fell in love with The Channel of Gravelines, Grand Fort-Philippe and while I don't think it's up for auction by the National Art Gallery in London, I MAY be bold enough to try to recreate it. Is this crazy ambitious?

Do we work wet into wet on dots
@mygeekfamilycotton Жыл бұрын
Hello! I would say no because the idea is to decompose the light/Color in the primary colors. So in wet-on-wet, you might mix the colors and get a uniform hue. But I work with acrylic and gouaches so the drying time is shorter. It might be more difficult with oils…
