I finally bit the bullet with the holiday special Axe had....not a cheap piece of gear after $$ conversion but well worth it....and way too many cool presets to mention only one !! lol -however, I really enjoyed the Wish You Were Here and Rebel Yell presets you demo'd today! My favorite is the Wes Hauch GOT preset. Doesn't look like that one is included in these new factory presets but I think it should be!

everyone did a great job and expanding all the presets with scenes has made the factory set an absolute goldmine. pretty much the first thing i did when i got my axe fx 3 was delete all the presets to make room for my own, but it's so easy to just load a bank, hit the pin and cruise through them in axe edit until you find something interesting. i think matt even snuck one of mine in there and it's not even some fx heavy monstrosity :O)

@LeonTodd, You probably already knew this, but just in case... The 'Crystal Echos' preset/effect was first introduced by the Eventide H3000 Harmonizer. That preset was used on recordings by Steve Vai. You can also hear it on one the intro to one of my favorite George Lynch (Lynch Mob) songs "She's so evil but she's mine". Thanks for the great video. The new presets are glorious!

Yes indeed, that's what blew me away about the original Axefx - it could do the Eventide thing but it also modeled amps really well!

Folks. I am going to get phone book for this. I delete all presets from my stage units. FM3. Axe3. All deleted. I find that everything is much more consistent because as we all know, the axe has so many parameters. Great playing Sir.

Wow that sounds amazing. Love your vids, always a smile. I can understand your accent, but it's still a totally different language. By the time I figure out the AXE, and how to play decent, it will be a relic. It's too bad you don't know what the shelf life of these will be, I often wonder if I should sell mine and just practice with something small. Although, the price has dropped on the used market so might as well keep it I guess. I just don't know how do understand all the frequencies and such. I'm used to just pick one that I like and play it!

Random trouble shoot question - but I had my own presets stacked right at the end of the factory ones and a few of the updated presets did not import in this patch. Anyone know where to find the new factory presets and these GoT?

This is a great excuse for me to totally reconfigure my presets, they were a complete mess. Time to start fresh, after a backup of course!

I hadn't tried the factory presets since before all the algorithm updates yet alone the new presets so I started from preset #1. I made it to preset #10 and went into a time warp guitar playing trance. It is a Marshall preset, of course.😀
