I hope this will further improve German-Canadian relations.

the Germans and Canadians have always had strong relations...it was the Canadians that were greeted with open arms, not the Americans like the history books say....Canada attacked the military, the USA bombed cities to break civilian moral.....think about that 1...
@KB98137 жыл бұрын
Um okay, not sure what version of history you were taught. Canadians did so as well in both RACF and RAF bomber command squadrons. Mainly in Halifax and Lancasters heavy bombers. Bomber Command Museum of Canada just 90km from Calgary in Nation would be a good place to visit my friend considering they do have a running Lancaster....

How do you propose that a country the size of Switzerland defend a land mass the size of Russia??? Think before you post
@victorselve83494 жыл бұрын
@ honestly it's quite simple. You defend by not defending at all. I mean what are the invaders supposed to fight? Trees? Just let them run their selves to death while trying to take over more and more ground with little strategic value and concentrate on the few places that have.

They sail past my town a lot and it's an embarrassment. They are rusted and falling apart. They stem from the same roots. The abrahams (and merkava …) uses the same german gun as the Leopard 2 A4, a Rheinmetal L44 120 mm smooth bore. Since Leopard A5 and newer the german tanks have an extended lenght of that gun, an L55. The challenger, the abrahams and the leopard all have laminated armor, an british invention. While the US uses deplated uranium, the germans use thungston for environmental reasons.

we never had the leopard 2A4 in Afghanistan..
@cxviimmdlii18728 жыл бұрын
"Equipment like this" He was most likely referring to the Leopard 2A6M that we utilised in Afghanistan. However, it was not the equipment that performed poorly, but the overall decision to get involved in Afghanistan in the first place. Then again, had we not gone to Afghanistan, our C2's would have been replaced with Strykers. So, it's a lose-win situation.
@3000kingkiller7 жыл бұрын
Was a forced hand tbh, if we didn't relations with the U.S were be lowered/worsened. NATO countries must pull their share i guess, shame to have lost Canadians there. Was pointless, middle east is still a war torn area.
@KB98137 жыл бұрын
Considering the fighting style of the Taliban in Afghanistan which was of Guerrilla tactics, it was not our equipment failure. “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.” ― Sun Tzu, The Art of War
