Hi, is the Brite tone matte version good for matte Starbucks tumblrs? Because I am trying to secure vinyl on a matte Starbucks tumblr but not sure what will be okay to add and secure without leaving shiny
@Kruftisg3 жыл бұрын
if ure talking about the Starbucks tumbler that's NOT rigid (those cold cup), I wouldn't recommend as it will peel off. If its a proper tumbler that you cannot bend, then yes. the matte is great! ;) Best to layer a couple of brite tone gloss first and finish up with 1-2 coats of matte.
@darlyngblanco68193 жыл бұрын
The cup is called “Matte black Starbucks cup” if you Google it, it will be the first one to pop up. It only had the Starbucks logo shiny. I’m scared of messing it up
@donnabaldwin10964 жыл бұрын
What is the briten your talking about. Is it not chemicals?
@Kruftisg4 жыл бұрын
Brite tone is not solvent based. It’s waterbased polyurethane. It has high solids and does not leave white casts when in contact with water AFTER it’s cured! It’s non toxic, no PPE needed, no mask needed (unless sanding of course), safe to use around pets & children, you don’t need to mix part A & part B like epoxy too!
@donnabaldwin10964 жыл бұрын
@@Kruftisg wow, I think I may need to try this. The epoxy I get from hobby lobby is soooooo strong smelling. I cant stand it

This looks amazing. Can I use Arteza acrylic paint instead of the universal white?
@Kruftisg3 жыл бұрын
Acrylic paints do not have a bonding agent, so it will end up peeling as it’s very elastic. So you will have issues along the way.

Can you dry using the hanging method? How long would you have I wait before hanging to dry before you took it off the turner if possible? I currently only have 1 turner and would love to work on multiple projects if possible.
@Kruftisg4 жыл бұрын
Yes! Most definitely u can use the hanging method. Crystalac dries from the outside to the inside, so it’s possible to do 1 coat of it, and once dry to touch (usually 30-45mins), you can hang it somewhere while it continue drying (4-5 hours). 😊
