Thank you Robert. I actually shop your sponsors now so it's getting them real results. You are a natural for this career brother. Truly appreciate the hard work so I can live it from my couch. Over.
@YakFishField7 жыл бұрын
+Scott Ehrlich thanks for the kind words Scott, I appreciate it! I turn down about a dozen sponsorship offers for every one I accept. If I don't already use and love the product or WHOLE HEARTEDLY believe it's the best in its genre, I pass, even when money is offered (I'd be living much more comfortably if I just blindly accepted them all). I say all that to say that if I work with a company, it's because I stand behind the product. If you're ever unhappy with one of those purchases, you let me know and I'll help take care of ya.

The sealions have now been fully protected since the 70s. They have their place, but there are now far too many. As a result, they have hurt unshore fishing along CAs coast. They eat 30-35lbs of fish every day. That equals several 'daily' Calico Bass limits, and they are much more successful. They have even been seen eating 7' Thresher Sharks. They also provide food & attraction for the increase of Great Whites. They should be brought under control. The balance has been affected!
@yunghaider7 жыл бұрын

My fishery! Hell yeah! You haven't put out as much fishing content as you used to, but it looks like that's about to change. Seriously, when you put out actual fishing content, it's some of the best. So we were catching those calicos in about 40 feet, maybe 1/4 mile out of the harbor. The leopard shark came in about 12 feet right off the beach. They hang out in and right past the surf. In most of the episodes I talk about how deep we're fishing. And in episode 3 you'll get a glimpse of just how many leopard sharks hang out right off the beach!

The short one? That's the alligator clamp mount from GoPro. Very versatile mount. There are lots of Chinese knock offs on Amazon but I wouldn't go that route, their clamps are unreliable and you're putting your GoPro at risk. The thing is $40 from GoPro which isn't cheap, but worth the peace of mind.

You probably could make it out of some kind of light aluminum rods and actually have a pump that hooks up to a small battery or manually pump up the tubes that hook onto the aluminum rods on each side that go out for 5 foot just to give you stability when you’re on open waters I’m sure that could be integrated into the kayak really easy

The red rod why are the guides to the side or it just me great video looking forward to seeing what next
@YakFishField7 жыл бұрын
The guides wrap all the way around it. It's called acid wrap or spiral wrap. I'll never go back to regular guides on conventional rods. Here's a decent article explaining the benefits. I don't know this company or their rods, so this is not an endorsement of them, but the article explains the concept decently: www.customanglerods.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=58

You didn't fish the bait barge?? If you're on a species hunt you should try it, I catch everything there.

+Scott good to know dude! Makes sense that there'd be fish around it

What kind of rod is the pink rod with the eyelets on different sides of the pole? Can you give the specs of the rod also? Thanks for the great channel!! Tight lines!
@YakFishField7 жыл бұрын
+PinaMcVfamily that's a custom rod built by a guy named Mark Crouse. I'm really not sure of the specs. The eyes wrapping around is called acid wrap or spiral wrap.

Cool Thanks!! I'll do some research on it. Looks like it is a lot easier on the rod and you when bringing the fish in, especially how close to the water you are sitting.

Robert Field No problem👍
@luvmuscle373 жыл бұрын
Robert just a thought why not have retractable floating buoys of some sort that could swing out on each side when in open water to give more stability on each side I’m sure that could be engineered easily for rougher water or an adapter with arm on each side that would be cool if only 4-5 feet for stability I’m sure someone has thought of that or maybe already available if not draw it up and try integrate just a thought as I watch y’all fish hopefully I said it right

Thanks man! The red rod is a custom, so you can't buy it anywhere. The reel is a Seigler Fishing SG, great reel.
