Nice video. My opinion is that there is no trash fish. Especially bonito . Very desirable fish in many countries.
@YakFishField6 жыл бұрын
Agreed that no fish is trash fish. These are bonitA, not bonitO, which are a different species and much tastier. Still, I think if you prepare bonitA right, they can still be good.

I think it really depends what waters you fish from, for example I’m in La and these LA waters don’t have monster fishes like you have, your so lucky
@YakFishField6 жыл бұрын
Louisiana or Los Angeles? Regardless, I’ve caught big fish in both. Everywhere has monsters, just gotta know where to look. Head offshore.

I go spearfishing in California. Go diving and you learn where the fish are. I already caught lobsters for lobster season. I have caught 40 lbs in rock fish off the coast in the water not from shore. Island packers will take your kayak to an island for 20$ camping and boat ride there is 150$ for 4 days. Go fishing everyday. Pay attention to regulations!!!!!! SMCA and MCA every where. islandpackers.com

We have a tandem Outfitter and a Revo with outriggers. The PA doesn’t do very well out there.

@dog99706 жыл бұрын
Can you recommend a book to help identify specifically the fish caught along the west coast Mexico to Panama? I’ve been catching fish offshore Manzanillo but no idea what I’m catching. As for the video can’t wait to see the next 4. Resort looks amazing and as I use to guide hunting groups in Northern Alberta for Moose, Wolf, Bear and Bison I can empathize with your work load but it looks like it is very rewarding. Jealous.

I don’t know of any books man, but I bet you could find some charts with a google search.

Robert Field thanks I find google is ok most of the time, I’d just like a book with documented pictures that are not subject to people labelling their catch wrong. Old school I guess.
