What you said about them running very fast when they go on the floor, I can confirm! A while ago I got a baby crested gecko and I held him one time in the evening and he jumped off my hand, sprinted under my bed and started climbing up one of the legs of the bed frame at the back 😳 I was so scared I was going to lose him but in the end it was fine. Your bioactive tank stories and feeding made me set up the finest bio tank for a young cresty. She's very skittish but loves her house. I have got a bit obsessed with breeding isopods and it's kinda taken over the room! I cant seem to get her to take any live food (unless she nom's an isopod which is quite likely). I keep crickets to hand, but they so far haven't become her dinner and get too huge after a few weeks. If we werent in lockdown, Id give them away!

@@EZS248 I suspect Freckle never was shown live food, and doesnt know what to do about it. Ive tried the tricks shown on this channel, but it didnt work. She might catch on eventually. Hey, I would like to ask how a crested gecko will do if left alone for one day. I am home until about 2:15 on Sunday, then leave and don’t come home til Tuesday at around 7 AM. I really love geckos and crested geckos seem quite a lot easier to manage than leopard geckos, and would love to have one. Please someone help me out, thank you. :)
@geckowithamustache31464 жыл бұрын
He would be fine I think! Just make sure to mist down his cage well before you leave and give him some food! He will probably do fine!

I know I'm way late. I'm wondering if distilled water would be better about not leaving mineral deposits? Guess just curious if you had tried that.

I have a question: Do crested geckos usually lose their tails? I was thinking about getting one but I have heard many stories of them losing their tails. Do they do it often?
@BearkyUSA4 жыл бұрын
Yes they do, in the wild 99% of them lost their tail, they lose the tails If they are spooked, and sometimes they just feel like it. They dont grow back. I am also getting crested geckos.

Yeah! It’s completely normal though and rarely any of them keep it.

Is nutrobal ok as a supplement for a crested gecko? Also I like your video on leopard gecko feeding and a schedule for each life stage. Could you do one for crested geckos. I have a juvenile which I got on Tuesday and I’m so confused as to when to feed them

My ghecko comes out every day soon as the light turns off and comes to sit ontop of his log and watches me sleep if I roll over on bed he jumps from his log onto the thermostat and wakes us up 🤣 considering removing his tank from bedroom to living room lol

Question: In a non-bioactive tank with eco earth, and spraying down the tank, how do you prevent mold? I don't want to use insects to eat the mold as I dont like insects.

I’ve had my crested gecko for about a month now and she’s amazing and seems to be doing well (pooping, moving, eating) but she isn’t very active. I don’t know if it counts as lethargic because she still moves and can go quite quickly at some times but generally she’s quite… timid? She seems scared of jumping for the most part, and she walks in slow motion as if she’s a big cat stalking prey. I don’t know if it’s a health issue, a personality thing (she’s apparently always been very calm) or just because she’s still adjusting to her environment. But I hope she’s okay. It’s hard to know if she’s lethargic when there aren’t a lot of demonstrations out there showing what lethargy looks like.

I woke up late at night to go to the bathroom, turned the light on, looked at my geckos cage, and he was hanging upside down on the roof of his tank just chilling there.
