That falcon landing was......something...

Dang! I didn’t know YIP could handle the 777!! Beautiful work as usual man!

Wow! Hard to believe that a DC-9-15 was still flying when this was recorded. Note that it doesn't have any leading-edge slats. Thanks for sharing and "Happy Landings!"

It is fascinating how they keep so much old aircraft so well maintained.

WTF was up with that Falcon 20 landing, amazed it didn't crash.

WOW!!! Haven't seen much action with the Goodyear Blimp in a while, not since my earlier years of living down north of Houston and near where the blimp's hangar once stood in Spring, Texas.

Fantastic video! Loved seeing all the oldies. Especially that MD-83.

I’ll take a day of seeing a mix like that over any of the boring look-a-like twins that fill the big airports nowadays. Thanks Lepp!! Well done!!

Yeah, I just realized after you mentioned, only euro birds are classic Dassault Falcons, which I love, btw.

Love those DC-9's! I don't know if you know this, but the highest resolution available for this video is 360p (far from the 4K advertised) :P
@LeppAviation5 жыл бұрын
Yep I know, lol. It takes a little bit for KZbin to render it to 4K

@@LeppAviation RIP. Never seen a video from Ypsilanti by the way, so thanks for that experience :)

Nice! Is that part of Detroit a “safe” place by chance?
@LeppAviation5 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, Detroit is a very safe city in my opinion. There are only a select few neighborhoods just outside the city that are a little sketchy, but almost all outer suburbs are very safe, including Ypsilanti (where Willow Run is).
@drewconlin94524 жыл бұрын
Are you from Michigan? Willow Run is such an historical area obviously because of WW2. Are there other airports similar to WR? My father used to fly business trips out of WR!!! Great stuff btw

How do you get the text at the top. Is there a certain editing software that lets you do that?
@oneofthemdeals5 жыл бұрын
I take it this runway technically is too short for a 777? That was a wild takeoff?
@LeppAviation5 жыл бұрын
5R/23L is just over 7500 feet, plenty for a 777. This was just part of proving runs back and forth from Oscoda, so it was completely empty.

I didn't know Kalitta Air was doing lifts for DHL...🤔
@LeppAviation5 жыл бұрын
Yep, they have a contract to fly routes for them!
@vistalite-ph4zw5 жыл бұрын
@@LeppAviation Excellent! Good for them. Nice to see Connie buying more equipment. Some of those 747-100s and 200s were dinosaurs but were getting the job done. Kalitta Air has a small office at LAX but contracts out their aircraft maintenance
@LeppAviation5 жыл бұрын
@@vistalite-ph4zw I loved seeing those fly over my house. Though they never really flew into YIP, I flew up to their maintenance base in Oscoda last week and saw at least 15 of them waiting to be scrapped. Very unfortunate

Just the title of the raw file. I hadn't put the actual title yet.

its the goodyear blimp and its not a zeppelin those were german and much bigger than a blimp aka the Hindenburg & what is Oscoda MI DTW miss flying in the baby 9 as a pax
@LeppAviation5 жыл бұрын
Yes it is a Goodyear blimp, but they don't make them. Luftschiffbau Zeppelin makes the blimp, so yes, it is a Zeppelin. Oscoda is a former Air Force Base, now turned Kalitta maintenance base and aircraft graveyard.
