@@modelnutty6503 it's not even downforce that it needs, it's just something to shape and smooth the airflow through that disaster area at the rear and get it to detach cleanly. There's so much turbulence down the back as is (or was with Leroy 1, can't imagine this is any better). At least he's not running 7s on a twisted broken chassis bent up in a fatal crash any more... it actually tracks straight now, which it never did before.

That's the burnout limiter, way lower than the actual Rev limiter if you pay attention.

What the original guy is saying is that with the lower rpm in the burnout there is not enough clamping force on the clutch so it's slipping excessively and causing a lot of wear. The friction coefficient changes the instant an object goes from static to in motion and does not apply to this situation. Trying to belittle other people when you don't know what you're talking about isn't a good look

I'm curious if you maybe need to adjust the clutch spacing on a brand new clutch after the first run or two... I know nothing about these slipper clutches but I know y'all have mentioned that it's super important to get the spacing right and I'm just wondering if the initial break in wears a little quicker at first and could be why the 60ft was slower on the 2nd run

I believe they did say the clutch loosened earlier in the video but that it was still fine, doesn't need an adjustment

Wow that clutch seems like it's gunna be really temperamental ..gotta learn what it does and doesn't like and definitely have a spare or two handy lol .. definitely doesn't last as long as your other clutch but it does what you needed to do a lot better on the launching .. excited to see where you take it.. you didn't think going 6s would be any easier I hope... Leroy makes you work for your goals more than any other car haha... Always has...

It's the difference between a single and twin disc. More discs more to wear out each pass and adjustment is more important.
