Thanks so much for watching! A lot of work went into this project so make sure to give Emma and Adam your support! We've already got another idea in mind for a future trio collaboration... ;) EDIT: The outro exported very poorly for some strange reason, but the usernames are @trumpetchallenges and @pocketrumpet!

Bravo, you all did a great job! It's amazing that you were able to synchronize all of the parts so well on a fast piece like that. Even on a slower piece with a click track, it's incredibly difficult.

Thank you so much...I played trumpet 1965 thru 1968 and began learning this piece at age 12, then went through 5 months of 7th grade he'll with the Band 'Teacher' and opted out or bluntly put, QUIT. SO! Your rendition of this is very VERY especial to me, a now worn out old Phart.

Thank you very much for your comment, Ray. I’m sorry to hear your trumpet playing career didn’t pan out but I’m glad to hear you enjoyed this rendition!

Played trumpet through middle school, high school, college, and some professional (easy on the some). Absolutely loved putting lips to mouth piece and played along with lots of Al Hirt, Maynard Ferguson, and "Good, Bad, and the Ugly". Sadly, life changes overcame me, and haven't played in about 40 years, and now, the lips are so far out of shape, doubt I'll ever pick the horn up again. Still, wanted to let you know what a joy it was to watch and listen to the three of you playing not only well, but with joy. New sub. Keep the great work coming, and never put down the horn!!!

Jason, thank you so much for the comment, the story, the encouragement. It’s truly heartwarming to hear that a video of mine has sparked something special in someone, especially someone who had a “past life” that was rich in music. Stories like this are the reason I maintain a presence online. I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed and have joined the club!

Nice job, just one criticism. I don’t think Leroy Anderson would appreciate the 1st trumpet player “hamming” it up with the trills, turns and slide up to the high C at the end. Try playing it straight, like it was meant to be.

just had to check my playback speed was normal and not 1.5. I'll have to play it back at .75 until i've got a couple of bars of the piano part sorted. Those offbeat accents are rather clever. It helps that i played 2nd or 3rd trumpet over 40 years ago at school.
@SamuelPlaysBrass2 жыл бұрын

Awesome! Are you single tonguing or double tonguing the 16th notes?
@SamuelPlaysBrass3 жыл бұрын
If you find me a trumpet player who can single tongue 16ths at 165 bpm, I’ll be pretty amazed. Just about everyone double tongues at performance tempo
@madeleinebaier53472 жыл бұрын
What lung power!
@SamuelPlaysBrass2 жыл бұрын
It’s all about the abdominals! Not kidding, since my lungs are pretty small I have to focus on air power, rather than sheer quantity of air by compressing the abdominal muscles to put the air under more pressure. I figured it out by accident but it turns out that technique really helps with the high register and faster tonguing!
